Systematic Evaluation of Electrophile Reactivity and Stability for Covalent DNA‐Encoded Libraries

To facilitate the design and construction of covalent DNA‐encoded libraries, a set of 59 electrophilic compounds from six different classes was systematically investigated for DNA‐conjugatability, S‐ and N‐nucleophile reactivity, as well as on‐DNA stability.

Probing Metal Tip‐Induced Bond Weakening of a Reactive Alkyne Center Aligned via a Rigid Triphenylmethane‐Based Tripod on Au(111) by TERS and DFT

We investigate tip‐induced bond weakening of a single alkyne center immobilized and aligned upright on Au(111) using a rigid triphenylmethane‐based tripod. By varying the tip–molecule distance, we observe shifts in the ≡C–H and –C≡C– vibrational bands via ultrahigh vacuum low‐temperature tip‐enhanced Raman scattering (TERS).

Rapid Epoxy Polymerization Induced by Aliphatic Cyclic Tertiary Amines: The Roles of Nucleophilicity and Leaving Ability

Quinuclidine, as a tertiary amine, can rapidly polymerize epoxy groups. We investigated the relationship between amine properties and polymerization behavior by monitoring the reactions of various tertiary amines with epoxy groups. The results indicate that quinuclidine, the most nucleophilic amine examined, promotes epoxy polymerization.
