GLS1-RNA Polymerase II Axis Mediates Glutamine-Dependent Hepatoprotective Effects on Alcoholic Liver Disease in High-Protein Diets. [PDF]
GLS1 interacts with RNA polymerase II subunits, ROLR2H and POLR2E, resulting in significant suppression of RNA polymerase II activity. Importantly, the investigation demonstrates that high‐protein diets, particularly glutamine, exert protective effects against alcoholic fatty liver through GLS1‐RNA polymerase II axis.

Toxic Effects of Amanitins: Repurposing Toxicities toward New Therapeutics
The consumption of mushrooms has become increasingly popular, partly due to their nutritional and medicinal properties. This has increased the risk of confusion during picking, and thus of intoxication.

Upstream CB1R Regulation of β-Adrenergic Memory Consolidation. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Object recognition memory (ORM) plays a key role in identifying familiar items and encoding episodic information. ORM consolidation depends on β‐adrenergic receptor (βAR) signaling and is associated with increased BDNF expression in the dorsal hippocampus.

Hypoadrenocorticism in a Dog Following Recovery from Alpha-Amanitin Intoxication
A 10-year-old, female spayed Labrador Retriever was referred for acute hepatopathy and urinary retention. Blood work from the initial presentation (day 0) revealed a severe, mixed hepatopathy. Over the course of the patient’s hospitalization, the patient
