Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Production of amylopectin and high-amylose starch in separate potato genotypes [PDF]
Starch is one of the most important processed products from agriculture. Two main outlets can be identified; starch is either enzymatically processed for the production of sweeteners and as raw material for fermentation or channelled to various ...

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Characterisation of starches isolated from Arracacha xanthorriza, Canna edulis and Oxalis tuberosa and extracted from potato leaf [PDF]
Starches from Arracacha xanthorriza, Canna edulis and Oxalis tuberosa grown in the Andean region were characterised. All three starches revealed a B-type X-ray diffraction pattern.

We describe detailed protocols for the purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 (MpARF2). This protein is fused to an MBP solubility tag and an mNG fluorescent tag and is purified from Escherichia coli. The presented procedures make it possible to study MpARF2 assemblies, which could arise from phase separation ...

Determination of the correlation between amylose and phosphorus content and gelatinization profile of starches and flours obtained from edible tropical tubers using differential scanning calorimetry and atomic absorption spectroscopy [PDF]
Plan BXanthosoma sagittifolium, Colocassia esculenta, and Ipomoea batata plants produce underground storage organs that contain mainly starch and fiber.

Mung bean starches are widely used for producing transparent, good-quality noodles in the food industry. This study isolated starches from eight mung bean varieties and investigated how the amylose contents (19.1–32.9%) of the beans affected the ...

A Conserved DT2‐bZIP66‐NF‐YC4 Regulatory Module Confers Drought Tolerance in Rice and Arabidopsis
This study identifies a conserved tripartiteDT2–bZIP66–NF‐YC4 transcriptional module that enhances rice drought tolerance by activating stress‐responsive genes. This regulatory complex is functionally conserved across cereals and Arabidopsis, providing promising targets for engineering drought‐resilient crops. ABSTRACT Drought stress severely restricts
