Serological survey of T-lymphocyte differentiation antigens in wild mice

Immunogenetics, 1985
Allelic distributions of Thy-1, Ly-1, and Ly-2 antigens in wild mice are characteristic of each Mus musculus subspecies. Eastern mice (M.m.molossinus, M.m.musculus, M.m.castaneus, M.m.bactrianus) express the Thy-1.1 antigen, whereas Western mice (M.m.domesticus, M.m.brevirostris) express the Thy-1.2.

T‐Lymphocyte Differentiation Antigens Shared by Humans and Rhesus Monkeys

Tissue Antigens, 1977
Anti‐human T‐lymphocyte serum (anti‐HTLA) was used to investigate the relationship between differentiation antigens of human (HTLA) and Macaca lymphocytes. The percentage of lymphocytes sensitive to anti‐HTLA is the same in both species, with thymocytes having a higher concentration of HTLA than more mature T‐lymphocytes.

Visualization of human helper T lymphocyte differentiation antigen in primate brain

Peptides, 1988
The differentiation antigen T4 is present on the helper/inducer subset of T cells. In the acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), this lymphocyte subset is selectively depleted by HTLV-III/LAV virus which apparently uses the T4 antigen as a viral receptor.

Differential function of major histocompatibility complex antigens in T-lymphocyte activation

Nature, 1976
We have emphasised the functional dichotomy of MHC LD and LD antigens as well as the differences in cellular responses to these antigens. Perhaps in so doing we have failed to stress adequately the similarities that exist. But while the similarities (for example skin graft rejection associated with both K and I region differences) are so very clear ...

Ultrastructure and differential antigens of human T-lymphocytes during embryogenesis

Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, 1979
Thymocytes of human embryos at the 7–8-week stage have irregularly shaped nuclei with one to three distinct nucleoli, characterized by absence of compact chromatin or heterochromatin. The electron-dense cytoplasm of these cells contains polysomes and a few mitochondria.

Role of Macrophage D-Region Antigens and T-Lymphocyte Differentiation Antigens in Induction of Gamma Interferon

Journal of Interferon Research, 1985
Macrophage-T-lymphocyte cultures from patients with recent recurrent herpes labialis were stimulated to produce gamma interferon by either herpes simplex antigen or mitogens (PHA and Con A). The ability of monoclonal antibodies to HLA-DR and DC/DS, HSV glycoprotein antigens and T-lymphocyte surface antigens to inhibit interferon production and ...

The human lymphocyte function-associated (HLFA) antigen and a related macrophage differentiation antigen (HMac-1): functional effects of subunit-specific monoclonal antibodies.

Journal of Immunology, 1985
The structural and functional relations between the alpha- and beta-subunits of the human lymphocyte function-associated antigen (HLFA) and the human Mac-1 antigen (HMac-1) have been analyzed with the use of five monoclonal antibodies that react with ...

Cellular interactions in the cytotoxic T lymphocyte response to herpes simplex virus antigens: differential antigen activation requirements for the helper T lymphocyte and cytotoxic T lymphocyte precursors.

The Journal of Immunology, 1983
Abstract The role and induction requirements of helper T lymphocyte responses to herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) was examined. Splenocytes from mice that had been primed in vivo with infectious HSV-1 can be restimulated in vitro with live or partially UV-inactivated HSV-1 to generate high levels of herpes virus-specific cytotoxic T ...

Human T Lymphocyte Differentiation Antigens as Target for Immunotoxins or Complement‐Mediated Cytotoxicity

Scandinavian Journal of Immunology, 1988
Graft‐versus‐host disease (GVHD) after allogeneic hone marrow transplantation (BMT) is initiated by immunocompetent T fells present in the graft. Selective elimination of distinct T‐cell subsets or a sufficient, but not complete T‐cell depletion, might abolish severe GVHD without graft rejection and loss of the anti‐tumour potential.

Modulation of Cell Membrane Antigens during Differentiation of Rat T-Lymphocytes

1979
The aim of the experiments presented here was to trace the differentiation pathway of thymic lymphocytes to peripheral T-lymphocytes in serological and molecular terms. For this purpose the rat has the advantage over the mouse that in this species that antigenic structure being the predominating one on the surface membrane of thymus lymphocytes i.e ...
