X‐Linked USP11 Drives Depression‐Like Behaviors by Stabilizing CK2α and Disrupting Mitochondrial Function

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study reveals that USP11 mediates depressive‐like behaviors and mitochondrial dysfunction in the prefrontal cortex. Mechanistically, USP11 directly binds to and deubiquitinates CK2α, thereby stabilizing its protein level and promoting mitochondrial impairment.

Synergistic Interaction Between MALAT1/miR‐30b‐5p/BAFF Axis and Inflammatory Cytokines Underlies Rituximab‐Refractory NMOSD

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 6, June 2026.
The MALAT1/miR‐30b‐5p/BAFF axis is activated in monocytes during NMOSD onset and relapse. The MALAT1/miR‐30b‐5p/BAFF axis is activated in monocytes, thereby facilitating the release of BAFF and inflammatory cytokines (including IL‐1, IL‐6, IL‐8, and TNF‐α).

Single‐Nucleus RNA‐Seq Reveals Neuroprotective Effects of Acupuncture in Chronic Migraine Through Modulation of Glial Subtypes

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 6, June 2026.
Acupuncture Alleviates Chronic Migraine by Reprogramming Glial Cells and Restoring Neuronal Homeostasis in the Trigeminal Nucleus Caudalis. It suppresses inflammatory and oxidative stress responses, rebalances neuronal excitability and metabolism, drives microglia and astrocytes toward reparative states, and reconstructs impaired neuron–glia ...

Glia Are Bussin’: How Single‐Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics Enlighten the Role of Neuroglia in Spinal Cord Injury and Regeneration

open access: yesGlia, Volume 74, Issue 6, June 2026.
Neuroglia have been extensively profiled using single‐cell genomics, improving our understanding of their dynamics after spinal cord injury. A meta‐analysis of five single‐cell time‐course genomic studies reveals heterogeneity underscoring important challenges for interpretation.

Encephalopathy: Cause, Pathogenesis, and Treatment

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
Various encephalopathies (sepsis‐associated, hepatic, hypoxic–ischemic, diabetic, uremic, toxic) have incompletely elucidated pathogenesis, which severely restricts targeted therapy development. Small molecule drugs show unique multitarget potential but face toxicity, poor blood–brain barrier penetration and unclear specificity.
