Display of a Maize cDNA library on baculovirus infected insect cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Background Maize is a good model system for cereal crop genetics and development because of its rich genetic heritage and well-characterized morphology. The sequencing of its genome is well advanced, and new technologies for efficient proteomic analysis ...

Comprehensive omics‐based classification system in adult patients with B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The COMBAT classification system, developed through multi‐omics integration, stratifies adult patients with B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(B‐ALL) into three molecular subtypes with distinct surface antigen patterns, immune landscape, methylation patterns, biological pathways and prognosis.

BMP antagonist CHRDL2 enhances the cancer stem‐cell phenotype and increases chemotherapy resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Overexpression of CHRDL2 in colon cancer cells makes them more stem‐like and resistant to chemo‐ and radiotherapy. CHRDL2‐high cells have upregulation of the WNT pathway, genes involved in the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT). This leads to quicker repair of damaged DNA and more cell migration.

Comparative single‐cell transcriptomic profiling of patient‐derived renal carcinoma cells in cellular and animal models of kidney cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We generated and characterized clear cell renal cell carcinoma models using the patient‐derived RCC243 cell line—including cell culture, orthotopic, and metastatic tumors—via single‐cell RNA‐sequencing for comparisons between models and patient tumor datasets.

Isolation of plant transcription factors using a modified yeast one-hybrid system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
BACKGROUND: The preparation of expressional cDNA libraries for use in the yeast two-hybrid system is quick and efficient when using the dedicated Clontech™ product, the MATCHMAKER Library Construction and Screening Kit 3.

Preparation of cDNA Library for dRNA-seq

open access: yesBIO-PROTOCOL, 2012
microRNAs (miRNAs) are ubiquitous regulators of gene expression in eukaryotic organisms, which guide Argonaute proteins (AGO) to cleave target mRNA or inhibit its translation based on sequence complementarity. In plants, miRNA directed cleavage occurs on the target mRNA at about 10 to 11 nucleotide (nt) up stream to the site where the 5’ end of miRNA ...

On subcellular distribution of the zinc finger 469 protein (ZNF469) and observed discrepancy in the localization of endogenous and overexpressed ZNF469

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ZNF469 regulates the expression of genes encoding extracellular matrix proteins. Endogenous ZNF469 is predominantly cytoplasmic, while in transfected cells, it forms aggregates reminiscent of biomolecular condensates, located mainly in the nucleus. These condensates exhibit overlapping staining with proteasomes and are also associated with the mitotic ...

Translating Muscle RNAseq Into the Clinic for the Diagnosis of Muscle Diseases

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Approximately half of patients with hereditary myopathies remain without a definitive genetic diagnosis after DNA next‐generation sequencing (NGS). Here, we implemented transcriptome analysis of muscle biopsies as a complementary diagnostic tool for patients with muscle disease but no definitive genetic diagnosis after exome ...
