Study on the forecasting of two cold surge events from the viewpoint of maritime transport
The WRF model is more accurate than relative humidity in simulating temperature and dew point temperature, which is more important for judging the occurrence of fog. The YSU scheme is an excellent PBL scheme for sea fog forecasting during the cold surge in the Bohai Bay region.

The concept of closest spatio‐temporal distance (CSTD) is introduced to more accurately assess collision risk between ships. By adopting route exchange, the multi‐ship collision avoidance problem is regarded as a multi‐stage static cooperative game under conditions of complete information.

Autonomous Collision Avoidance Tradespace Analysis for High-Speed Vessels [PDF]
In this work, a tradespace was introduced allowing a weighted combination of a course change and speed change when deviating from the preferred velocity vector in protocol - constrained autonomous collision avoidance algorithms.

Safety First—A Critical Examination of the Lights and Shapes in COLREGs
According to The International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972, ships can only determine their collision avoidance responsibilities in accordance with the rules of “Conduct of Vessels in Sight of One Another” if the dynamic and category of the target ship is identified to be using lights and/or shapes during encounters at sea.
