Acylated delphinidin glycosides in the blue-violet flowers of Consolida armeniaca
Phytochemistry, 1996Four new acylated delphinidin 3,7-glycosides were isolated from the blue-violet flowers of Consolida armeniaca as major anthocyanin pigments. The first pigment was based on delphinidin 3,7-diglucoside and was identified as delphinidin 3-O-[6-O-(malonyl)-beta-D-glucopyranoside]-7-O- [6-O-(4-O-(6-O-(p-hydroxybenzoyl)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-p ...

Delphinidin, a dietary anthocyanidin in berry fruits, inhibits human glyoxalase I
Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry, 2010Glyoxalase I (GLO I) is the rate-limiting enzyme for detoxification of methylglyoxal (MG), a side-product of glycolysis, which is able to induce apoptosis. Since GLO I is known to be highly expressed in the most tumor cells and little in normal cells, inhibitors of this enzyme has been expected to be new anticancer drugs.

Absorption and metabolism of delphinidin 3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside in rats
Free Radical Biology and Medicine, 2004The absorption and metabolism of delphinidin 3-O-beta-d-glucopyranoside (Dp3G), which is the most potent antioxidant among the blueberry anthocyanins, were studied in rats. Dp3G rapidly appeared in the blood plasma within 15 min of oral administration (100 mg/kg body wt).

Acylated delphinidin 3-rutinoside-5-glucosides in the flowers of Petunia reitzii
Phytochemistry, 2000Two acylated anthocyanins were isolated from selected individuals of Petunia reitzii, and identified to be delphinidin 3-O-[6-O-(4-O-(4-O-(6-O-(trans-caffeoyl)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-tr ans-p-coumaroyl)-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl)-beta-D-glucopyranoside]- 5-O-[beta-D-glucopyranoside] and delphinidin 3-O-[6-O-(4-O-(4-O-(beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-trans-p ...

Effect of Delphinidin on Metabolomic Profile in Breast Carcinogenesis
Anti-Cancer Agents in Medicinal Chemistry, 2022Background: Breast cancer is a malignant tumor which threat to women’s physical and mental health. Delphinidin, one of the main anthocyanidins, has potent anti-cancer properties. In previous study, we found that delphinidin has the preventive role in MNU-induced breast carcinogenesis of rats, but the molecular mechanism by which delphinidin combats ...
