The FAD2-like desaturases comprise a group of membrane-bound oxygenases involved in the modification of fatty acyl groups in plants and fungi. This group includes typical oleate desaturases which introduce a \u39412 cis double bond and more unusual ...

In wheat, phosphorylation of the S‐like RNase TaRNS4 mediated by the kinase TaRLK5 promotes its degradation of Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici RNA in the apoplast, enhancing resistance to stripe rust. TaRNS4 can hijack phosphatase TaPP2C10 to relieve its dephosphorylation of TaMAPK6, thereby activating MAPK‐mediated immune responses. ABSTRACT RNase

Hybrid acyl-CoA desaturases investigated regarding structure in relation to functionality and specificity [PDF]
The use of insect sex pheromones in integrated pest management (IPM) systems offers an environmentally friendly alternative to chemical pesticides. However, widespread commercial use of pheromones is limited by high production costs and environmental ...

ABSTRACT The fatty acid composition of fish is influenced by species, age, diet, and tissues, which respond differently to dietary lipids. This study examined how two commercial diets with contrasting polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) profiles, affecting eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), alter the fatty acid composition in ...

Abstract This mini‐review examines odd‐carbon polyunsaturated fatty acids (odd‐PUFAs), a rare but biologically significant group of fatty acids in photosynthetic microorganisms. Odd‐PUFAs are straight‐chain fatty acids containing an odd number of carbon atoms and two or more methylene‐interrupted double bonds. They typically account for less than 1% of
