Amyloid‐β aggregates induce vasculopathy via ferroptosis in brain endothelial cells
Blood–brain barrier (BBB) disruption is evident in brains with amyloidopathy. In this study, we demonstrate that amyloid β (Aβ) drives abnormal lipid metabolism and lipid droplet formation in brain endothelial cells, leading to lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis.

Development of omega-3 enriched egg using fish-oil based fowl feed supplement
SUMMARY: Nutritional content of egg can be manipulated by altering hen feed. Developing an economical fowl feed supplement to produce omega-3 enriched egg from purified fish oil, produced using a proprietary method, leads to a value-added product.

Ferroptosis is driven by unrestricted peroxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acyl (PUFA) chains in membrane phospholipids. In triple‐negative breast cancer cells, lipid droplets (LDs) sequester dietary PUFAs, limiting their incorporation into membrane phospholipids, preventing mitochondrial damage, and reducing lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis.

Fetal growth restriction is associated with placental metabolic adaptations. In small‐for‐gestational‐age placenta (SGA), cholesterol receptors and steroidogenic enzymes are upregulated, enhancing steroidogenesis. NAD salvage pathway is also increased to support NADP+/NADPH requirements.

Docosahexaenoic and eicosapentaenoic acids increase prion formation in neuronal cells
Background The transmissible spongiform encephalopathies, otherwise known as prion diseases, occur following the conversion of the cellular prion protein (PrPC) to an alternatively folded, disease-associated isoform (PrPSc).
