Sheep Horn Development Revealed by Multi‐Tissue and Cross‐Species Transcriptomic Analysis
Multi‐tissue and cross‐species transcriptomics with allele‐specific expression show sheep horns are a composite organ integrating epidermal and osteogenic programs. Conserved horn gene modules and cis‐regulatory variation fine‐tune expression networks underlying horn development and size (small scurs vs. large spiral horns).

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Endochondral ossification of the otic capsule is a process that continues postnatally; hence, incomplete endochondral ossification is seen as pericochlear hypoattenuation on temporal bone CT scans of children.

Objective Nerve growth factor (NGF), a key mediator of pain, is increased in osteoarthritic (OA) joints. Antibodies against NGF show analgesic effects in painful knee OA, but clinical development was stopped because of side effects in the joints. Knowledge about the biologic effects of NGF on joint tissues is limited. Therefore, we explored the effects

Essential embryology for the Canadian pathologists’ assistant
Abstract Pathologists' assistants (PAs) are pivotal in healthcare, conducting autopsies and examining tissues under a pathologist's guidance. Embryology knowledge is crucial for PAs to accurately assess anomalies and identify pathologies. Yet, it is often overlooked in academic PA training programs.

ABSTRACT Oxygen supply is a critical parameter in 3D cell cultivation using bioreactors. Since bioreactor designs often prioritise practical constraints, understanding the oxygen supply dynamics of the media is crucial for achieving either uniform or spatially controlled oxygen delivery.

Osteogenic Potential of Caspases Related to Endochondral Ossification [PDF]
Caspases have functions particularly in apoptosis and inflammation. Increasing evidence indicates novel roles of these proteases in cell differentiation, including those involved in osteogenesis. This investigation provides a complex screening of osteogenic markers affected by pan caspase inhibition in micromass cultures derived from mouse forelimbs ...

Neurovascular coupling in bone regeneration: Mechanisms, advanced biomaterials and challenges
This figure illustrates various material strategies for neurovascularized bone regeneration, including electroactive scaffolds, ion‐loaded materials, drug delivery systems, surface modifications, cells/cell products, growth factors, and peptides. These approaches aim to synergistically promote the regeneration of neural, vascular, and bone tissues ...

Spatiotemporal assessment of endochondral ossification.
Although from different experimental cohorts, the time course of endochondral ossification observed as a gradient of green to red in the right hand case study in (B) can be tied to the spatial gradient of mineralization observed as a gradient from pink ...
