Mechanisms of light in regulating the chick pineal clock. Abstract The circadian clock significantly impacts animal health and productivity, with light playing a crucial role in regulating circadian rhythms. However, the mechanisms behind light‐induced circadian transmission remain unclear, particularly in light‐sensitive avian species.

Metformin Restores Mitochondrial Function and Neurogenesis in POLG Patient‐Derived Brain Organoids
Patient‐derived POLG‐mutant cortical organoids reveal neuronal subtype‐specific mitochondrial and synaptic defects, with dopaminergic neurons most affected. Metformin treatment restores neuronal identity, mitochondrial function, and excitability, increased mtDNA maintenance, and reprogrammed metabolism via TCA and redox pathways.

Propranolol treatment of infantile hemangioma endothelial cells: A molecular analysis [PDF]
Infantile hemangiomas (IHs) are non-malignant, largely cutaneous vascular tumors affecting approximately 5–10% of children to varying degrees. During the first year of life, these tumors are strongly proliferative, reaching an average size ranging from 2

NAD⁺ homeostasis maintains neuronal integrity through opposing actions of NMNAT2 and SARM1. Loss of NMNAT2 in glutamatergic neurons reprograms cortical metabolism from glucose to lipid catabolism, depletes lipid stores, and triggers inflammation and neurodegeneration.

This study depicting the role of transcriptomics, RNA interference (RNAi), and CRISPR/Cas9 technologies in the breeding of glandless cottonseed and glanded cotton tissues. This approach demonstrates the potential of cotton as a dual‐purpose crop, serving both the fiber industry and as a sustainable food and feed source.

ABSTRACT Detecting selection footprints offers valuable insight into evolutionary processes and the mechanisms underlying phenotypic diversity in selected traits. Domestication, natural and artificial selection, and breeding have produced indigenous goats well‐adapted to their local environments, making them crucial genetic resources. Understanding the

Integromic analysis of genetic variation and gene expression identifies networks for cardiovascular disease phenotypes [PDF]
BACKGROUND - : Cardiovascular disease (CVD) reflects a highly coordinated complex of traits. Although genome-wide association studies have reported numerous single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) to be associated with CVD, the role of most of these ...
