Treg‐stromal cell axis in tissue repair and autoimmune diseases: Mechanisms and clinical translation
The Treg‐stromal cell axis as a central regulator of tissue repair and immune tolerance. Under physiological conditions, bidirectional communication between Tregs and stromal cells—mediated by cell‐surface molecular contacts, anti‐inflammatory cytokines, and extracellular vesicles—orchestrates inflammation resolution, immune tolerance, and complete ...

Brain metastasis‐associated fibroblasts are active stromal components of the metastatic niche characterised by extracellular matrix remodelling and production of pro‐migratory mediators. They promote monocyte and cancer cell migration and enhance cancer cell invasion while having no growth‐promoting effect on cancer cells.

BackgroundThe ability of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) to migrate and localize specifically to injured tissues is central in developing therapeutic strategies for tissue repair and regeneration. Fibroblast activation protein (FAP) is

The prolyl-specific peptidase fibroblast activation protein-α (FAP-α) is expressed at very low or undetectable levels in nondiseased human tissues but is selectively induced in activated (myo)fibroblasts at sites of tissue remodeling in fibrogenic ...

Compared with PT‐CAFs, LN‐CAFs exhibited a myofibroblast‐like phenotype, enhanced tumor stemness‐promoting activity, and fibrosis‐, EMT‐, and hypoxia‐related transcriptomic signatures. LN‐CAF‐related gene signatures were independently associated with poor prognosis in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.

The fibroblast activating protein (FAP) is expressed by some fibroblasts found in healthy tissues. However, FAP is overexpressed in more than 90% of epithelial tumors, including breast and gynecological tumors.

FS‐DFSP exhibits coordinated angiogenic and stromal remodeling characterized by immature vascular features, CAF accumulation, and enhanced macrophage infiltration. VEGFA, CCL2, and CXCR4 may contribute to this tumor‐promoting microenvironment. ABSTRACT Although collagen type 1 alpha 1 (COL1A1)–platelet‐derived growth factor B‐chain (PDGFB) gene fusion ...

Seq‐Scope maps skeletal muscle transcriptomes at high spatial resolution while preserving histological context, revealing distinct responses of myofibers, neuromuscular junctions, and stromal cells to denervation. This spatial view uncovers fiber type‐specific and localized remodeling across intact muscle tissue.
