This study reveals that Urolithin A (UA) counteracts alcohol‐induced cognitive and social dysfunction (AICSD) via a gut microbiome‐dependent mechanism. UA‐enriched Bacteroids sartorii and Parabacteroids distasonis elevate anandamide (AEA), which activates the CB1R‐DRD2‐Rap1 signaling cascade to drive synaptic repair and reduce neuroinflammation ...

Expression of FMR1, FXR1, FXR2 and FMRP in human fetal ovaries.
A. mean ovarian mRNA levels of FMR1 and its paralogues FXR1 and FXR2 among 8–10 (n = 5), 14–16 (n = 5) and 17–20 (n = 5) weeks of gestation. Error bars in histograms represent ±SEM. B-D.

Fragile X-Related Proteins Regulate Mammalian Circadian Behavioral Rhythms
Fragile X syndrome results from the absence of the fragile X mental retardation 1 (FMR1) gene product (FMRP). FMR1 has two paralogs in vertebrates: fragile X related gene 1 and 2 (FXR1 and FXR2).

ABSTRACT Global environmental change affects organisms, including their physiology. In freshwater ecosystems, where migration is limited, populations often rely on phenotypic plasticity to respond. While transcriptomics has been widely used to study stress responses at the molecular level, less is known about the proteome, which reflects post ...

This study successfully engineered vascularized liver organoids (3HLOs) by co‐culturing human reprogrammed hepatocyte‐like cells (hrHLs) with human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and human umbilical mesenchymal stem cells (HUMSCs). Upon implantation, the 3HLOs established functional vascular anastomosis with the host circulation and ...

ZNF148 upregulates ZEB1‐AS1, which scaffolds IGF2BP2 to stabilize NOD2 mRNA, enhancing microglial anti‐pneumococcal immunity via cytokine production and bacterial clearance in bacterial meningitis. ABSTRACT Streptococcus pneumoniae (Spn) meningitis remains a lethal central nervous system (CNS) infection with limited therapies. This study identifies the

Ferroptosis in Cancer and Inflammatory Diseases: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Implications
Ferroptosis, a form of cell death driven by iron and lipid peroxidation, serves as a bridge between cancer and inflammatory diseases. Microenvironmental factors such as oxidative stress collectively regulate this process. In cancer, ferroptosis exhibits dual roles: while it eliminates drug‐resistant cells, it may also promote tumor metastasis.

Effect and mechanism of stem cells and exosomes therapy in ischemic stroke. The effect and mechanism include protection of neuron and glial cells, repairment of nerve vascular unit, reduction of inflammation response, restoration of white matter integrity, reconstruction of neural circuit, replacement of neurons and glial cells, and anti‐ferroptosis ...

Kh Domains on Brain Polyribosomes: FMRP and Nova in Translational Regulation
The regulation of protein synthesis is an important aspect of the control of gene expression in neurons and is thought to contribute to neurologic diseases such as Fragile X mental retardation syndrome.
