Epigenetically driven impairment of BDNF–ARC signaling contributes to circadian and cognitive disarray in a mouse model of postoperative delirium

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Postoperative delirium (POD) is common in older surgical patients and is clinically associated with an increased risk of long‐term cognitive decline and dementia; disrupted BDNF signaling and circadian dysregulation are implicated, but their coordinated mechanisms remain unclear.

Synergistic Antitumor Activity of HAT Inhibitor A485 and XPO1 Inhibitor KPT8602 in Multiple Myeloma

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Multiple myeloma (MM) remains the second most common hematologic malignancy, necessitating the identification of novel therapeutic targets. MM is characterized by a distinct epigenetic landscape driven by aberrant chromatin activation and super‐enhancer addiction.

VSMC phenotypic switching in thoracic aortic aneurysm at single‐cell resolution: Trajectories, regulatory circuits, and spatial niches

open access: yesClinical and Translational Discovery, Volume 6, Issue 3, June 2026.
•Single‐cell/spatial multi‐omics identify four VSMC phenotypic states in TAA progression. •KLF4 as master hub (TGF‐β/TNF‐α/mechanical stress) orchestrating chromatin remodelling. •Pseudotime trajectories mapping contractile phenotypes towards osteogenic (RUNX2/SOX9) and inflammatory (TNF‐α/IL‐6) fates within spatial medial niches. •cfDNA biomarkers and

Lysine lactylation‐mediated post‐translational modification: Molecular mechanisms and therapeutic target exploration in tumour drug resistance

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Lysine lactylation (Kla) serves as a metabolic–epigenetic switch governed by writer–eraser–reader regulatory systems, directly connecting the Warburg effect to diverse forms of tumour drug resistance. Intratumoural lactylation critically contributes to treatment failure in chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy.

Lactate metabolism and lactylation in female reproductive diseases: From metabolic rewiring to biomarkers and translational therapeutics

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
1. Lactate‐derived histone lactylation links glycolytic reprogramming to epigenetic regulation in female reproductive diseases. 2. In endometriosis, lactylation may promote inflammatory remodelling, immune dysregulation and ferroptosis resistance. 3. In PCOS, lactylation connects metabolic disturbance to granulosa‐cell dysfunction and hyperandrogenism.
