Agrimoniin Alleviates Ferroptosis in Cold‐Stored DCD Liver Grafts Through Activation of the Nrf‐2 Pathway

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Supplementing the liver preservation solution with agrimoniin protects donation after cardiac death (DCD) grafts by activating the Nrf‐2 pathway. This reduces ferroptosis, oxidative stress, and inflammation during cold storage, significantly improving graft viability.

Engineered surface strategies to manage dental implant‐related infections

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView.
Abstract When exposed to the oral environment, dental implants, like natural surfaces, become substrates for microbial adhesion and accumulation, often leading to implant‐related infections—one of the main causes of implant failure. These failures impose significant costs on patients, clinicians, and healthcare systems.

Polyphenol blend enhances zootechnical performance, improves meat quality, and reduces the severity of wooden breast in broiler chickens

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science
This study investigated the effects of a commercial polyphenol blend on broiler performance, meat quality, carcass traits, and the incidence of pectoral myopathies. Broilers (1–42 days old) were allocated to four treatments: T1 (control, basal diet), T2 (

Integrated Orbitrap‐HRMS and Chemometric Profiling Reveals Metabolite Diversity and Antioxidant Signatures in Cerrado Eugenia Fruits

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 7, Issue 1, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Fruits from the Brazilian Cerrado, such as pitanga (Eugenia uniflora), jambolao (E. jambolana) and murta (E. punicifolia), are recognized for their nutritional and therapeutic potential, largely due to their phenolic‐rich profiles. However, systematic studies integrating high‐resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) with chemometric tools to ...

13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of hydrolyzable tannins. II. Tannins forming anomer mixtures.

open access: yesChemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 1988
The glucose carbon signals in the 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra of hydrolyzable tannins forming anomer mixtures, which differ from each other in the locations of acyl groups, were assigned. The utility of these data was demonstrated by application to the structural assignments of recently isolated dimeric hydrolyzable tannins [e.g ...

Nanoshell Fabrication Techniques for Probiotic Encapsulation: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yeseFood, Volume 7, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Probiotics, beneficial microorganisms, confer numerous health benefits when administered. However, their efficacy is hindered by harsh gut conditions, including acidity, bile acids, and enzymatic degradation. To overcome these challenges, encapsulation and nanoshell technology have emerged as a pivotal strategy to enhance probiotic stability ...
