Rose Bengal catalysed photo-induced selenylation of indoles, imidazoles and arenes: a metal free approach.

open access: yesOrganic and biomolecular chemistry, 2018
In this report, the highly efficient Rose Bengal-catalysed C(sp2)-H selenylation of indoles, imidazoles and arenes was achieved using a half molar equiv. of diorganoyl diselenides.

Complexes of gold and imidazole formed in helium nanodroplets [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2018, 20, 7739-7745, 2019
We have studied complexes of gold atoms and imidazole (C$_3$N$_2$H$_4$, abbreviated Im) produced in helium nanodroplets. Following the ionization of the doped droplets we detect a broad range of different Au$_m$Im$_n^+$ complexes, however we find that for specific values of $m$ certain $n$ are "magic" and thus particularly abundant.

N-Pyridinyl Sulfilimines as a Source for α-Imino Gold Carbenes: Access to 2-Amino-Substituted N-Fused Imidazoles.

open access: yesOrganic Letters, 2019
Gold-catalyzed formal 1,3-dipolar annulation between readily accessible N-pyridinylsulfilimines and ynamides is reported. A diverse set of imidazole derivatives is prepared from the corresponding sulfilimines and ynamides.

1-Propyl-4(5)-Methylimidazole Isomers for Temperature Swing Solvent Extraction

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
Temperature swing solvent extraction (TSSE) utilizes an amine solvent with temperature-dependent water solubility to dissolve water at a lower temperature to concentrate or crystallize the brine and the phases are separated.

Magnesium and imidazole propionate

open access: yesClinical Nutrition ESPEN, 2021
Circulating levels of imidazole propionate (ImP), a microbial metabolite of histidine, were higher in participants with type 2 diabetes (T2D) compared to those without and also induced insulin resistance. We hypothesize that low intake of magnesium (Mg) and/or low body Mg status in humans may lead to low Mg concentrations in gut microbiota, and, in ...

Trisubstituted-Imidazoles Induce Apoptosis in Human Breast Cancer Cells by Targeting the Oncogenic PI3K/Akt/mTOR Signaling Pathway

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
Overactivation of PI3K/Akt/mTOR is linked with carcinogenesis and serves a potential molecular therapeutic target in treatment of various cancers. Herein, we report the synthesis of trisubstituted-imidazoles and identified 2-chloro-3-(4, 5-diphenyl-1H ...

Coarse-grained versus fully atomistic machine learning for zeolitic imidazolate frameworks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks are widely thought of as being analogous to inorganic AB$_{2}$ phases. We test the validity of this assumption by comparing simplified and fully atomistic machine-learning models for local environments in ZIFs. Our work addresses the central question to what extent chemical information can be "coarse-grained" in hybrid ...

Electron-induced chemistry in imidazole clusters embedded in helium nanodroplets [PDF]

open access: yesEur. Phys. J. D 72 (2018) 38, 2018
Electron-induced chemistry in imidazole (IMI) clusters embedded in helium nanodroplets (with an average size of 2$\times$10$^5$ He atoms) has been investigated with high-resoluton time-of-flight mass spectrometry. The formation of both, negative and positive, ions was monitored as a function of the cluster size n.

Application of Artificial Neural Networks for Predicting Imidazole Derivatives' Antimicrobial Activity against Enterococcus faecalis [PDF]

open access: yesFarmacja Polska
Artificial neural networks (ANNs) have emerged as a valuable tool in facilitating the design of synthesis and guiding subsequent biological experiments in the systematic exploration for novel antimicrobial agents. In this paper, two multilayer perceptron-

An Updated Review on the Synthesis and Antibacterial Activity of Molecular Hybrids and Conjugates Bearing Imidazole Moiety

open access: yesMolecules, 2020
The rapid growth of serious infections caused by antibiotic resistant bacteria, especially the nosocomial ESKAPE pathogens, has been acknowledged by Governments and scientists and is one of the world’s major health problems.
