Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is characterized by persistent inflammation that drives progressive renal injury and fibrosis. In this study, we demonstrate that disulfiram markedly attenuates kidney injury and fibrosis in adenine‐induced nephropathy by suppressing innate immune responses and reducing DNA damage and cellular senescence.

ABSTRACT The clinical significance of PNH Type II white blood cells (WBCs) remains unclear. We assessed the relative percentage (rel%) of Type II neutrophils in 355 patients with a PNH clone ≥ 1% on neutrophils enrolled by 33 flow cytometry laboratories in the 5‐year French nation‐wide multicenter prospective observational study.

Mechanisms of Immunothrombosis in Vaccine-Induced Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia (VITT) Compared to Natural SARS-CoV-2 Infection [PDF]
Herein, we consider venous immunothrombotic mechanisms in SARS-CoV-2 infection and anti-SARS-CoV-2 DNA vaccination. Primary SARS-CoV-2 infection with systemic viral RNA release (RNAaemia) contributes to innate immune coagulation cascade activation, with ...

Role and intervention of PAD4 in NETs in acute respiratory distress syndrome
Background Sepsis is life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection. Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a common sepsis-associated injury that can increase postoperative mortality but the mechanism is ...

ABSTRACT Atherosclerosis remains the dominant substrate of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), yet recurrent events persist even when LDL cholesterol is driven to guideline targets, underscoring residual risk as a central limitation of contemporary prevention.

Immunomodulatory Nanozymes as Programmable Redox–Immune Set‐Point Regulators
Conceptual phase space linking reactive oxygen species level/dynamics to immune state, with pathological set‐points for chronic inflammation, tumor escape, and degeneration contrasted against a central healthy redox–immune set‐point. Buffering and amplifying nanozymes are depicted as devices that dial redox tone up or down to steer diseased ...
