Cancer‐Associated BCL‐2 Mutants Reveal Mechanisms Towards Venetoclax Resistance
Venetoclax (VEN) resistance in chronic lymphocytic leukemia arises from diverse BCL2 mutations. We map mechanisms contributing to VEN resistance across common BCL‐2 variants. G101V and D103Y reduce drug binding and increase sequestration of pro‐apoptotic proteins. V156D blocks VEN allosterically.

Digestive Stability of Xanthophylls Exceeds That of Carotenes As Studied in a Dynamic in Vitro Gastrointestinal System [PDF]
Epidemiological studies have suggested that high consumption of tomato products is associated with a lower risk for chronic diseases. To exert their health effect, the phytochemicals of tomatoes have to be bioavailable and therefore it implies their stability through the digestion process.

Pulsed electric field improved protein digestion of beef during in-vitro gastrointestinal simulation
Effect of pulsed electric field (PEF) on in-vitro simulated gastrointestinal protein digestion of cold-boned beef Semimembranosus was elucidated. PEF treated [T₁, 5.0 kV (90 Hz); T₂, 10 kV (20 Hz)] samples along with control were subjected to in-vitro ...

Model illustrating the proposed mechanism by which chemotherapy‐induced downregulation of OGT disrupts SNAP29 O‐GlcNAcylation, promoting STX17‐SNAP29‐VAMP8 SNARE complex assembly and protective autophagy, leading to chemoresistance, which in turn establishes a feedforward loop to perpetuate drug tolerance.

Human gastrointestinal conditions affect in vitro digestibility of peanut and bread proteins
Peanut and wheat proteins either isolated or within the food matrix were subjected to different static in vitro digestion models (infant, fed and fasted adult). Proteolysis differed across models.

A schematic model summarizing GNA15's mechanism in mediating macrophage M2 polarization and Gemcitabine resistance. ABSTRACT The complexity of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) progression, coupled with the lack of effective immunotherapy, underscores the imperative to deepen our understanding of its mechanisms and identify suitable immune ...
