International audienceA new synthetic path toward oxazoles starting from isocyanides is presented. This two-step oxazole preparation involves a bromination-cyclization followed by a Suzuki cross-coupling.

Design, Synthesis, and Photophysical Studies of Functionalized Polyaromatic Isonitriles as Visible Light Photoredox Catalysts

A new series of structurally rich polyaromatic isonitriles is presented as photoredox catalysts. Their photophysical properties are investigated by UV–Vis absorption and fluorescence measurements, combined with experimental and theoretical studies to evaluate both ground‐ and excited‐state redox properties.

Three-Component Reactions of 3-Arylidene-3H-Indolium Salts, Isocyanides and Amines

A multicomponent reaction of isocyanides with aryl(indol-3-yl)methylium salts and amines has been found. A series of aryl(indol-3-yl)acetimidamides was obtained in up to 96% yields.
