LURP1, a SARD1‐regulated protein, coordinates with the helper NLR ADR1 to promote plant immunity

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 251, Issue 5, Page 2852-2866, September 2026.
The working model of LURP1 function in plant immunity. Upon pathogen infection, SARD1/CBP60g promotes the transcription of LURP1 directly. LURP1 likely functions as an adaptor protein that associates with the PRRs–BAK1 complexes at the plasma membrane (PM) while also interacts with the ADR1 family helper NLRs.

Determination of l-Pipecolic Acid in Plasma Using Chiral Liquid Chromatography-Electrospray Tandem Mass Spectrometry [PDF]

open access: yesClinical Chemistry, 2001
AbstractBackground: l-Pipecolic acid (L-PA), an important biochemical marker for the diagnosis of peroxisomal disorders, is usually determined as the racemate. We developed a chiral liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for the analysis of L-PA in plasma. Methods: We used a narrow bore chiral macrocyclic glycopeptide ...

Sinapoylglucose: malate sinapoyltransferase SNG1 negatively regulates drought resistance by crosstalk with abscisic acid signaling in Arabidopsis

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 127, Issue 5, September 2026.
SUMMARY Drought stress has a profound impact on yield, with massive repercussions for agricultural production. In addition to ABA, the central hormone controlling the plant response to drought, secondary metabolites also play important functions in drought stress; however, the precise nature of their roles is still obscure. Metabolomics analysis of ABA‐

A plant‐centric view of class B flavin‐dependent monooxygenase evolution and diversity

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 127, Issue 5, September 2026.
SUMMARY Flavin‐dependent monooxygenases (FMOs) are ancient enzymes present throughout all kingdoms of life. FMOs utilize flavin‐based cofactors to incorporate an oxygen atom into their substrate, altering its chemical properties. Class B FMOs are enriched throughout the plant kingdom, catalyzing essential reactions for plant development and defense ...

Pipecolic acid as a diagnostic marker of pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy.

open access: yes, 2005
Pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy, although described some decades ago, may still be an underdiagnosed disorder. We have recently described isolated pipecolic acid elevations in the plasma and/or CSF of three patients with pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy with ...

Elucidating the effects of nine-steaming-nine-drying on the morphology, metabolomic profile, and active ingredients of Polygonatum sibiricum Redouté

open access: yesFrontiers in Food Science and Technology
Background“Nine-steaming and nine-drying” is a pharmaceutical processing technique for Polygonatum sibiricum Redouté. It is an incomplete study that the effect of the method on the quality of P. sibiricum Red.

SARD1 and CBP60g redundantly regulate N‐hydroxypipecolic acid‐ and salicylic acid‐dependent systemic immunity but are dispensable for the activation of indolic defense metabolism

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 127, Issue 6, September 2026.
SUMMARY We investigated the roles of the cognate, redundantly acting transcription factors SARD1 and CPB60g in the metabolic reprogramming of leaves of Arabidopsis thaliana suffering from bacterial infection or UV light exposure. Comprehensive metabolite analyses reveal that SARD1/CBP60g exert distinct influences on major stress‐inducible metabolic ...

Purification and characterization of peroxisomal L-pipecolic acid oxidase from monkey liver.

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1991
L-Pipecolic acid oxidase has been purified to near homogeneity from Rhesus monkey liver. The protein, a yellow monomer, has a molecular weight of 46,000 by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and a pI of 8.9. It contains a covalently bound flavin with absorption maxima at 457 and 383 nm and a shoulder at 480 nm.
