Molecular analyses define Vα7.2-Jα33+ MAIT cell depletion in HIV infection: a case-control study [PDF]
Mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells are an abundant antibacterial innate-like lymphocyte population. There are conflicting reports as to their fate in HIV infection.

Immunotherapy in hepatocellular carcinoma: the complex interface between inflammation, fibrosis, and the immune response. [PDF]
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide and confers a poor prognosis. Beyond standard systemic therapy with multikinase inhibitors, recent studies demonstrate the potential for robust and durable responses ...

Antigen-loaded MR1 tetramers define T cell receptor heterogeneity in mucosal-associated invariant T cells [PDF]
Mucosal-associated invariant T cells (MAIT cells) express a semi-invariant T cell receptor (TCR) alpha-chain, TRAV1-2-TRAJ33, and are activated by vitamin B metabolites bound by the major histocompatibility complex (MHC)-related class I-like molecule ...

Recognition of vitamin B metabolites by mucosal-associated invariant T cells [PDF]
The mucosal-associated invariant T-cell antigen receptor (MAIT TCR) recognizes MR1 presenting vitamin B metabolites. Here we describe the structures of a human MAIT TCR in complex with human MR1 presenting a non-stimulatory ligand derived from folic acid

Tumor dsDNA released by cryoablation is taken up by macrophages, activating the cGAS‐STING signaling pathway. This leads to an expansion of the CXCL10+ macrophage pool and increased secretion of CXCL10, which in turn recruits CXCR3+ T cells from draining lymph nodes into the tumor microenvironment to exert anti‐tumor effects.

An R package to analyse LC/MS metabolomic data: MAIT (Metabolite Automatic Identification Toolkit) [PDF]
Current tools for liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry for metabolomic data cover a limited number of processing steps, whereas online tools are hard to use in a programmable fashion. This article introduces the Metabolite Automatic Identification

Objective This study aimed to investigate the mechanisms of immune dysregulation in a pediatric patient with monogenic lupus driven by IKZF1 haploinsufficiency. Methods Peripheral immune cells from a patient with IKZF1 haploinsufficiency, patients with lupus with no currently known genetic mutations, and healthy controls were analyzed using single‐cell
