INVESTIGATION OF FLOWER ANTHOCYANIN PIGMENTS OF ALTHEA ROSEA CAV. AND MALVA VISCOUS-ARBOREA L. GROWING IN EGYPT [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Assiut University, 1988
Six anthocyanin pigment were isolated from Malvaviscous-arborea L. and five from Althea rosea cav. (Family: Malvaceae). The identification of these pigments was achieved by paper chromatography, acid and enzymatic hydrolysis and spectralanalysis.

Stability of Anthocyanins from Red Grape Skins under Pressurized Liquid Extraction and Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction Conditions

open access: yesMolecules, 2014
The stability of anthocyanins from grape skins after applying different extraction techniques has been determined. The following compounds, previously extracted from real samples, were assessed: delphinidin 3-glucoside, cyanidin 3-glucoside, petunidin 3 ...

Effect of Blueberry Anthocyanins Malvidin and Glycosides on the Antioxidant Properties in Endothelial Cells [PDF]

open access: yesOxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity, 2016
The objective of this research was to survey the antioxidant functional role of the main anthocyanins of blueberries in endothelial cells. Changes on the reactive oxygen species (ROS), xanthine oxidase‐1 (XO‐1), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and heme oxygenase‐1 (HO‐1) in cells of malvidin and the two glycosides were investigated. The results showed that

The Effect of the Storage on the Content of the Malvidin-3-Glucoside in Red Wine [PDF]

open access: yesActa Horticulturae et Regiotecturae, 2020
Abstract Anthocyanins are plant dyes responsible for the colour of red wine. Of these, malvidin-3-glucoside is the most significant member and its content was monitored in wines that were first left to age in oak barrels for 12 months, subsequently bottled and sealed with plastic/cork stoppers.

Non-Thermal Ultrasonic Extraction of Polyphenolic Compounds from Red Wine Lees

open access: yesFoods, 2020
This study presents the results of conventional aqueous (CE) and non-conventional ultrasound-assisted (UAE) extractions of polyphenolic compounds from lees extracts of red wine varieties (Merlot and Vranac). The effect of ultrasound extraction time (t, s)

Recovery of Anthocyanins and Monosaccharides from Grape Marc Extract by Nanofiltration Membranes

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
Wastewaters and by-products generated in the winemaking process are important and inexpensive sources of value-added compounds that can be potentially reused for the development of new products of commercial interest (i.e., functional foods).

Theoretical Study of D-π-A Structured Malvidin for DSSC Application

open access: yesAsian Journal of Chemistry, 2023
Six novel dye molecules were developed from D-π-A system and their suitability for dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) was evaluated using density functional theory (DFT). All the calculation were performed using B3LYP/6-311++ G (d,p) level basis set. The intermolecular charge transfer was examined using Frontier molecular orbitals.

Malvidin and its Glycosides from Improve Endothelial Function by Anti-inflammatory and Angiotensin I-Converting Enzyme Inhibitory Effects

open access: yesNatural Product Communications, 2018
Protective effects of malvidin and the glycosides from Vaccinium ashei on endothelial cells were investigated. The results showed that malvidin, malvidin-3-glucoside, malvidin-3-galactoside, and their mixture could defend endothelial cells from damage ...

Comparison of the anthocyanins composition of five wine-making grape cultivars cultivated in the Wujiaqu area of Xinjiang, China

open access: yesOENO One, 2019
Anthocyanins biosynthesis are essentially determined by grape cultivar genotype. However, specific environmental and vine management conditions could alter the accumulation of anthocyanins.
