Long‐read sequencing‐based atlas of tissue‐specific expression of DNM1L transcript variants
Targeted long‐read sequencing resolves full‐length DNM1L (Drp1) isoforms and reveals conserved, tissue‐specific expression patterns across human and mouse tissues. Functional assays show that Drp1 isoforms differ in their ability to drive mitochondrial fission, independent of abundance, with specific exons modulating activity.

Beyond fission and fusion—Diving into the mysteries of mitochondrial shape
Mitochondrial shape and network formation have been primarily associated with the well-established processes of fission and fusion. However, recent research has unveiled an intricate and multifaceted landscape of mitochondrial morphology that extends far beyond the conventional fission–fusion paradigm.

The Role of Oxidative Stress in Periodontitis
Oxidative stress is involved in multiple chemical reactions that take place in different intracellular organelles: mitochondria, rough endoplasmic reticulum, peroxisomes, autophagy, and aging, and can be influenced by exogenous factors: nutrition, physical activity, psychological status, environmental conditions, microbiome, and drugs.

Mitochondrial fission and fusion in inflammatory diseases: mechanisms and therapeutic implications
Background Mitochondrial fission and fusion are dynamic and highly regulated processes that are essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis. These processes are regulated by core proteins, including dynamin-related protein 1 (DRP1), fission 1 protein (

Optimization of photobiomodulation therapy for spinal cord injury: A review
Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy in the red and near‐infrared range can significantly modulate the secondary injury response and promote the reparative and regenerative potential of neural tissue after spinal cord injury (SCI). At present, due to the nature of delivery methods, the most effective dose and irradiance at the injury site to optimize ...

ABSTRACT Equine melanocytic neoplasms (EMN) are aggressive tumours characterised by high metastatic potential and limited therapeutic options available. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying their progression remain poorly understood. This study therefore presents the integrative phosphoproteomic analysis of EMN tissue, with the aim of ...

One day of environment‐induced heat stress causes injury to the murine kidney
Abstract Environment‐induced heat stress (EIHS) results from sustained body temperature elevation owing to prolonged exposure to heat and humidity. We hypothesized that EIHS would cause kidney injury and cellular dysfunction. To test this hypothesis, female C57 mice were exposed to EIHS (n = 14; 37.6°C, 42.0% relative humidity) or thermoneutral (TN ...
