Light wavelength encodes distinct macrophage fates through mitochondrial and metabolic remodeling. Red 625 nm irradiation induces glycolysis, mitochondrial fission, and M1 polarization, whereas near‐infrared 850 nm irradiation promotes fatty acid oxidation, mitochondrial fusion, and M2 polarization.

TDP‐43 Aggregation: The Healthy‐Toxic Balance of the Prion‐Like Domain
TDP‐43 function relies on a delicate balance between reversible phase‐separated states and irreversible aggregation. Under physiological conditions, TDP‐43 forms dynamic droplets and oligomers that support normal cellular functions. In pathological contexts, this balance shifts toward aberrant aggregation, leading to toxic species.

Unraveling the Mechanism of ER-Associated Mitochondrial Fission and Fusion
Mitochondria are dynamic organelles that undergo cycles of fission and fusion at a unified platform defined by endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-mitochondria membrane contact sites (MCSs). These MCSs or nodes co-localize fission and fusion machinery.

Mitofusin-Mediated Mitochondrial Fusion Inhibits Pseudorabies Virus Infection in Porcine Cells
Background: Mitochondria are highly dynamic organelles that undergo fusion/fission dynamics, and emerging evidence has established that mitochondrial dynamics plays a crucial regulatory role in the process of viral infection.

Adipocyte Myoglobin Is a Determinant of Energy Expenditure and a Potential Target to Limit Obesity
Myoglobin, known as a muscle oxygen‐carrying protein, is shown to play a key role in fat cells that burn energy. Loss of myoglobin reduces the body's ability to generate heat and increases obesity risk, while restoring it improves metabolism. The study identifies myoglobin as a regulator of fat burning and a potential target to enhance energy ...

Mitochondrial fusion-fission model.
(A) During a mitochondrial fusion, the nucleoid information (W and M) of the precursor mitochondria is retained and a fission site is created (bold line).

Tumor Ca2+ interference therapy suffers from self‐protective Ca2+ metabolic autoregulation. In this scenario, a versatile metal‐phenolic nanocluster (TCMH) is engineered to modulate mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU) ‐mediated mito‐Ca2+ metabolic autonomy.
