Balancing Stealth and Targetability: cCPP‐ and PEG‐Modified Liposomes for the Targeted Delivery of Anti‐HER2 Nanobodies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study addresses the rapid renal clearance of anti‐HER2 nanobodies by developing specialized liposomal carriers. It details the formulation of dual modified liposomes, demonstrating how PEGylation preserves structural integrity and cell‐penetrating peptides enhance cellular interaction.

Aptamer‐Targeted PrPC Drives Colorectal Cancer Metastasis via a LYN‐STAT3 Complex and Enables Liquid Biopsy Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The aptamer WHY‐3E identifies PrPC as a CRC driver. Stabilized by USP18, endocytosed PrPC forms a LYN/STAT3 complex, upregulating MSN transcription to promote metastasis. Crucially, WHY‐3E sensitively detects PrPC‐positive circulating exosomes, establishing a robust theoretical foundation for non‐invasive clinical diagnostics.

Mucosal-Associated Invariant T Cells Display Diminished Effector Capacity in Oesophageal Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2019
Oesophageal adenocarcinoma (OAC) is an aggressive malignancy with poor prognosis, and incidence is increasing rapidly in the Western world. Mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells recognize bacterial metabolites and kill infected cells, yet their ...

Less circulating mucosal-associated invariant T cells in patients with cervical cancer

open access: yesTaiwanese Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology, 2019
Objective: Mucosal-associated invariant T cells (MAITs) are important for immune defense against infectious pathogens and regulation of various inflammatory diseases. However, their roles in cancer are rarely reported. Since cervical cancer is one of the

CEBPG‐Mediated Palmitic Acid Adaptation of Cancer‐Associated Fibroblasts Drives Metastasis of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals a metabolic signaling axis in the OSCC microenvironment where palmitic acid (PA) drives the activation of CAFs. PA uptake triggers CEBPG‐dependent epigenetic remodeling to upregulate ERN1 and TMBIM6, thereby mitigating ER stress. This adaptive program sustains CAF survival and the pro‐metastatic phenotype, establishing this pathway ...

An Edible Biohybrid Platform Accomplishes In Situ Fenton‐Mediated Enteral Nanoplastics Aging and Excretion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An edible biohybrid platform triggers nanoplastics (NPs) aging and agglomeration by in situ generating hydroxyl radicals within the intestine. The enlarged NPs are unable to penetrate the intestine and are subsequently excreted. Simultaneously, probiotic biofilms reinforce the intestinal barrier.

The frequency of mucosal-associated invariant T cells is selectively increased in dermatitis herpetiformis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells are a novel subset of innate-like T-cells that are enriched in mucosal tissues. Their presence in human skin has only recently been recognised.

Multi‐Targeting Carnosic Acid Kills Drug‐Resistant Helicobacter pylori With Narrow‐Spectrum Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Carnosic acid selectively eradicates drug‐resistant Helicobacter pylori through a multi‐targeted mechanism involving urease inhibition, membrane disruption, and biofilm eradication. It exhibits no detectable resistance, potent in vivo efficacy, and minimal impact on gut microbiota, positioning it as a promising narrow‐spectrum lead compound against ...

Mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells: an evolutionarily conserved T cell subset

open access: yes, 2005
International audienceBesides mainstream TCRalphabeta T cells harboring a very diverse repertoire, two subsets display an evolutionarily conserved invariant repertoire. This striking conservation indicates important and unique functions.

Radiation‐Induced Tumor‐Intrinsic LTβR N‐Glycosylation Suppresses Pyroptosis Through TRIM28‐Mediated PCBP2 SUMOylation to Promote Gastric Cancer Radioresistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy triggers LTβR N‐glycosylation, enhancing its overall protein stability and nuclear retention. This accumulation drives TRIM28‐mediated PCBP2 SUMOylation, suppressing pyroptosis and conferring gastric cancer radioresistance. Therapeutically, a targeted nanoplatform (cRGD‐Lipo@EMD) effectively disrupts this regulatory axis, offering a highly
