The dark side of NKT cells is revealed in a new study showing that they contribute to autoimmune arthritis in mice. On page 41, Kim et al. find that arthritis is worse in joints that are invaded by NKT cells. Figure NKT cells aggravate arthritis by blocking TGF-β.

immunoHuMiX: A personalizable gut‐on‐chip model for unraveling human microbiome–immune interactions

The study introduces a personalized gut model that brings together human immune cells and intestinal cells to better mimic how the body interacts with microbes. Fel d 1‐Expressing Plant‐Derived Bioparticle: A Novel Treatment for Cat Allergy

This study investigates the allergenicity and immunogenicity profile of a novel plant‐derived Fel d 1 bioparticle (eBP). Fel d 1 eBP promotes immune tolerance by redirecting allergic Th2 responses toward Th1 and IL‐10–producing regulatory pathways, including Bregs.
