The NAD+ precursor NMN activates dSarm to trigger axon degeneration in Drosophila [PDF]
Axon degeneration contributes to the disruption of neuronal circuit function in diseased and injured nervous systems. Severed axons degenerate following the activation of an evolutionarily conserved signaling pathway, which culminates in the activation ...

The elusive NMN transporter is found
Strategies to restore levels of the enzyme cofactor nicotinamide adenine dinclueotide (NAD) late in life to maintain health by treatment with NAD precursors, such as nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), represent an exciting area of research in aging and age-related diseases.

NMN transport by snake renal tubules: choline effects, countertransport, H+-NMN exchange
N1-methylnicotinamide (NMN) transport by isolated perfused snake (Thamnophis spp.) proximal renal tubules was examined for effects of choline and evidence of countertransport of organic cations and H+-NMN exchange. Choline had no effect on NMN transport, supporting the concept of multiple organic cation transport processes.

NMN-VD: A Neural Module Network for Visual Dialog [PDF]
Visual dialog demonstrates several important aspects of multimodal artificial intelligence; however, it is hindered by visual grounding and visual coreference resolution problems. To overcome these problems, we propose the novel neural module network for visual dialog (NMN-VD).

The Attenuating Effect of High-Intensity Interval Training and Nicotinamide Mononucleotide Supplementation on Aging-Related Oxidative Stress in Rat's Heart Tissue [PDF]
Introduction: Numerous studies have shown attenuating effects of nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) and high-intensity interval exercise (HIIT) training on reducing oxidative stress. Therefore, in the present study, we evaluated the effect of HIIT and NMN

Subacute Toxicity Study of Nicotinamide Mononucleotide via Oral Administration
Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), a key precursory metabolite of NAD+, has been shown to elevate the cellular level of NAD+ and ameliorate various age-related diseases. Despite these progresses, systemic evaluation pertaining to the subacute toxicity of

Screening of Natural High-producing NMN strains and Microbial Synthesis of NMN by Nampt
Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is an endogenous substance in humans with high safety and thermal stability, and its application in cosmetics, medical health, and functional foods has received widespread attention. However, the synthesis process of NMN has problems such as high cost, time-consuming and low yield, which limits the large-scale ...

The NMN Module Conducts Nodule Number Orchestra [PDF]
Legumes control nodule number through nodulation and autoregulation of nodulation (AON) pathways. Nodule Inception (NIN) is essential for rhizobial infection and nodule organogenesis in legumes. The GmNINa-miR172c-NNC1 (NMN) module, which consists of two positive regulators, GmNINa and miR172c, and a suppressor, NNC1, integrates both pathways.

SARM1 is a metabolic sensor activated by an increased NMN/NAD+ ratio to trigger axon degeneration
Axon degeneration is a central pathological feature of many neurodegenerative diseases. Sterile alpha and Toll/interleukin-1 receptor motif-containing 1 (SARM1) is a nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD +)-cleaving enzyme whose activation triggers axon
