Clinical assessment of mocravimod as a victim of drug–drug interactions via CYP3A4 metabolism and transporters

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology in Drug Development, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Mocravimod, a novel immunomodulator targeting sphingosine‐1‐phosphate receptor (S1PR), is being developed as a maintenance treatment for patients with acute myeloid leukemia undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation. Preclinical data suggested that cytochrome (CYP) 3A4 is the primary enzyme involved in mocravimod metabolism.

IFI16 prevents Oct1 accumulation at HSV-1 promoters.

open access: yes, 2014
U2OS and clone 67 cells were infected with HSV-1 at an moi of 1 pfu/cell. ChIP analysis was done with Oct1 antibody and real-time PCR with primers to the indicated HSV-1 genes, normalized to input ICP4, and cellular promoters normalized to GAPDH and are ...

Genetic analysis of OCT1 gene polymorphisms in an Indian population

open access: yes, 2012
Background: Genetic variants of the organic cation transporter (OCT1) gene could influence interindividual variation in clinical response to metformin therapy.

Transcriptional Coactivator BOB1 (OBF1, OCA-B) Modulates the Specificity of DNA Recognition by the POU-Domain Factors OCT1 and OCT2 in a Monomeric Configuration

open access: yesBiomolecules
BOB1, a mammalian lymphocyte-specific transcriptional coactivator of the transcription factors OCT1 and OCT2 (OCT1/2), plays important roles in normal immune responses, autoimmunity, and hematologic malignancies.

Variability and Heritability of Thiamine Pharmacokinetics With Focus on OCT1 Effects on Membrane Transport and Pharmacokinetics in Humans

open access: yes, 2020
Thiamine is substrate of the hepatic uptake transporter organic cation transporter 1 (OCT1), and pathological lipid metabolism was associated with OCT1‐dependent thiamine transport.

Oct1 function modulated thiamine disposition in vivo and in vitro.

open access: yes, 2018
(A) Scheme: deletion of Oct1 reduces hepatic uptake of thiamine and increases plasma thiamine levels. (B) Plasma thiamine levels (n = 6 per genotype on a control diet; n = 7 per genotype on a TD).

Effect of Oct1 mRNA expression level in human colon and breast cancer, and model for Oct1 function in different mouse models of gut malignancy.

open access: yes, 2019
(A) Kaplan-Meier survival curves were downloaded and modified using OncoLnc [69] and gene symbol Pou2f1. Survival in days of human breast and colon cancer patients in whose tumors Oct1 (Pou2f1) mRNA expression falls in the bottom (“Low”) or top (“High ...

Oct1 protein levels correlate with a stem cell phenotype in primary human malignancy.

open access: yes, 2012
A. IF images are shown. Frozen malignant breast carcinoma sections (non-familial stage IIIA node-positive infiltrating ductal carcinoma, ER+PR+HER2−) were stained with mouse anti-Oct1 antibodies (Millipore MAB5434) and rabbit anti-ALDH1 antibodies (Abcam

Differential expression of several drug transporter genes in HepG2 and Huh-7 cell lines

open access: yesAdvanced Biomedical Research, 2016
Background: Cell culture techniques have many advantages for investigation of drug transport to target organ like liver. HepG2 and Huh-7 are two cell lines available from hepatoma that can be used as a model for hepatic drug transport.
