Bimetallic Au-Ag Nanoclusters as a Photo-Responsive Oxidase-Like Nanozyme for Antioxidant Detection and Intracellular Redox Analysis. [PDF]
Gold–silver nanoclusters act as light‐activated enzyme mimics that generate peroxyl radicals, oxidizing thiamine into a fluorescent product. Antioxidants block this conversion, providing the basis for rapid, reagent‐free detection and accurate measurement of total antioxidant capacity in fluids and products.

ANTIOXIDANT CAPACITY OF THE GREEN LEAFY VEGETABLES USING OXYGEN RADICAL ANTIOXIDANT CAPACITY (ORAC), 2,2′-AZINO-BIS (3-ETHYLBENZOTHIAZOLINE-6-SULPHONIC ACID(ABTS) AND 2,2-DIPHENYL-1-PICRYLHYDRAZYL (DPPH) ASSAYS [PDF]
Antioxidants are believed to play a very important role in the body defence system against reactive oxygen species (ROS), the harmful by-products that are generated during normal aerobic cell respiration.

Recently, we proposed an oxygen radical absorbance capacity method that directly quantifies the antioxidant's scavenging capacity against free radicals and evaluated the radical scavenging abilities for water soluble antioxidant compounds. In this study, we determined the radical scavenging abilities of lipophilic antioxidants which were solubilized by
