Inlet temperature affects spray drying quality of watermelon powder

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences, 2018
The effect of the inlet temperature on the quality of watermelon powder after spray drying was evaluated. Inlet temperatures of the drying air of 120, 130, 140, and 150°C maintained water solubility of the watermelon powder at 96%.

Oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) of cyclodextrin-solubilized flavonoids, resveratrol and astaxanthin as measured with the ORAC-EPR method

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Biochemistry and Nutrition, 2012
Recently, we proposed an oxygen radical absorbance capacity method that directly quantifies the antioxidant's scavenging capacity against free radicals and evaluated the radical scavenging abilities for water soluble antioxidant compounds. In this study, we determined the radical scavenging abilities of lipophilic antioxidants which were solubilized by

Awareness of ORAC assay among dental students

open access: yesInternational Journal of Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2020
The Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity (ORAC) assay estimates the suppression of radical-mediated oxidation by molecules of concern. This calculates the quality as equivalent and provides both repression duration and the degree of oxidation suppression. This same test could be used to calculate the antioxidant capacity of nutrition.
