Extreme Optical Field Confinement and Enhancement in a Plasmonic Picopatch Within a Nanoparticle‐on‐Mirror Resonator

A picopatch in a plasmonic nanocavity confines the electromagnetic energy to tiny effective volumes, close to 1nm3, leading to extreme electric field enhancements.
