The HaMYB22–HaGST3.2 module mediates salt stress response in sunflower

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
The transcription factors HaMYB22, HaMYB120, and HaMYB121 cooperatively activate the transcription of the glutathione S‐transferase gene HaGST3.2, thereby facilitating the removal of reactive oxygen species induced by salt stress in sunflowers and improving their salt tolerance.

Efficient isolation of Magnolia protoplasts and the application to subcellular localization of MdeHSF1

open access: yesPlant Methods, 2017
Background Magnolia is a woody ornamental plant, which is widely used in urban landscaping. However, its lengthy juvenile period and recalcitrance to regeneration impedes functional characterization of its genes.

Marine yeast isolation and industrial application [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Over the last century, terrestrial yeasts have been widely used in various industries, such as baking, brewing, wine, bioethanol and pharmaceutical protein production. However, only little attention has been given to marine yeasts. Recent research showed

The transcription factors TaABI4 and TaNAC‐A1 fine‐tune TaCYP94‐A1 transcription to modulate seed dormancy in wheat

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
A module involving the transcription factors TaABI4 and TaNAC‐A1, and the cytochrome P450 TaCYP94‐A1 precisely regulates seed dormancy levels through plant hormone crosstalk, providing targets for improving resistance to pre‐harvest sprouting in wheat.

Pre-isolation, isolation and regeneration protoplasts from leaf mesophyll of in vivo Malus domestica ‘Anna’ cv.

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Fruticultura
To isolate protoplast, a pre-treatment was completed with the order to reduce and identify the phenolic contents round the year to encourage the isolation of protoplasts.

A robust method of nuclei isolation for single-cell RNA sequencing of solid tissues from the plant genus Populus.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2021
Single-cell transcriptome analysis has been extensively applied in humans and animal models to uncover gene expression heterogeneity between the different cell types of a tissue or an organ.

Plant Methods / Poinsettia protoplasts - a simple, robust and efficient system for transient gene expression studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Background: Transient gene expression systems are indispensable tools in molecular biology. Yet, their routine application is limited to few plant species often requiring substantial equipment and facilities.

The multidimensional regulation roles and mechanisms of calcium in fruit quality

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
This review explores how calcium signaling molecule integrates plant hormones, environmental cues, and developmental signals to influence external fruit traits, internal nutritional properties, and physiological disorders. ABSTRACT Calcium (Ca2+), a dual‐functional mineral that serves both as an essential structural factor and a signaling molecule ...

Yeasts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Yeasts are a group of eukaryotic microfungi with a well-defined cell wall whose growth is either entirely unicellular or a combination of hyphal and unicellular reproduction. The approximately 1500 known yeast species belong to two distinct fungal phyla,

Tandemly duplicated TaERF109 genes confer drought tolerance and post‐drought recovery in wheat

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
Tandemly duplicated TaERF109 transcription factor genes in wheat modulate growth traits and enhance drought tolerance by regulating the TaMADS56 transcription facto gene, cytokinin biosynthesis‐related genes, and nicotianamine synthase genes, revealing the critical role of tandemly duplicated genes in the coordination of stress responses and ...
