Radiology, 1970Abstract Relative biological effectiveness (RBE) of fast neutrons from the Medical Research Council cyclotron are compared to 250 kVp x rays for intestinal damage. The RBE is higher at low doses and approaches a common value of 1.9 at neutron doses above 1,000 rads.
