FGF21 upregulates SIRT1 to promote the deacetylation of FOXO3 at sites K241, K258, K289, and K568, thereby activating PINK1/Parkin‐dependent mitophagy, suppressing nucleus pulposus cell senescence, and delaying intervertebral disc degeneration. ABSTRACT Intervertebral Disc Degeneration (IDD) is a common degenerative spinal disease and a leading cause ...

Abstract Aims Despite intensive lipid‐lowering therapy, individuals with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) exhibit residual inflammatory risk, which drives recurrent cardiovascular events. This risk is amplified in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), where a pro‐inflammatory milieu accelerates atherogenesis. Monocyte‐derived macrophages (MDMs)

Skeletal muscle in individuals with cerebral palsy (CP) may undergo accelerated aging through mechanisms shared with age‐related sarcopenia. Representative overlapping molecular and cellular features include, for example, neuromuscular alterations, impaired satellite cell function and niche composition, chronic inflammation, metabolic deficits, reduced

Auxiliary propulsion requirements for large space systems [PDF]
An insight into auxiliary propulsion systems (APS) requirements for large space systems (LSS) launchable by a single shuttle is presented. In an effort to scope the APS requirements for LSS, a set of generic LSSs were defined.

Senescent-Like Myofibers Contribute to Anti-Regenerative Cytokine Signaling in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. [PDF]
p16 expression in DMD model rats induces a senescent‐like state in myofibers accompanied by p16 and cytokine gene expression, reshaping systemic humoral environments. This cytokine‐rich milieu suppresses skeletal muscle regeneration, as demonstrated by impaired regeneration of transplanted wild‐type muscle.

Inhibition of miMOMP-induced SASP to combat age-related disease
Cellular senescence, first described in 1961, was initially observed in normal human fibroblasts that ceased proliferating after a finite number of divisions in culture. This process is triggered by various stimuli, including oxidative stress, chromatin modifications and oncogene activation, characterized by irreversible cell-cycle arrest, resistance ...

Abstract Fibroblastic proliferation in various tumor microenvironments influences cancer survival through complex interactions with diverse immune responses. This study investigated the impact of histologically unique activated cancer‐associated fibroblasts (aCAFs) on survival outcomes and immune responses and examined their association with various ...

In this study, we find CD55+ neutrophils show activated NETosis within bone marrow, induce BMSC senescence and osteogenesis inhibition, finally leading to bone aging initiation. Mechanistically, ROS synergizes with the CD55‐driven HIF1α‐PADI4 pathway to promote NETosis.
