The Malate Aspartate Shuttle is important for de novo serine biosynthesis. Broeks et al.
We hypothesized that all MAS defects lead to a secondary serine biosynthesis defect. To study whether MAS defects lead to diminished serine and glycine biosynthesis, we performed isotopic tracing experiments in 33 HEK293 cell lines with a genetic ...

Resistant Peanut Genotype Reprograms Rhizosphere Metabolism to Enhance Bacterial Wilt Suppression
The resistant peanut genotype selectively recruits beneficial bacteria, which coincides with the activation of salicylic acid (SA)‐dependent systemic acquired resistance (SAR) against Ralstonia solanacearum. Keystone rhizosphere metabolites are positively correlated with both beneficial microbiome assembly and SAR gene expression.

Subcellular Localization of The Enzymes In Serine Biosynthesis
Serine biosynthesis uses 3‐phosphoglycerate, an intermediate of glycolysis, to catalyze the first reaction by phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase (PHGDH). This reaction produces 3‐phosphohydroxypyruvate, which eventually becomes serine through two additional steps.

CCT2 Promotes Prostate Cancer Progression Through EIF3F‐Dependent Stabilization of FASN
ABSTRACT Prostate cancer (PCa) is increasingly recognized to be driven by dysregulated lipid metabolism. Although fatty acid synthase (FASN) is highly expressed in PCa, the mechanisms governing FASN protein stability and its functional integration into oncogenic lipid metabolism remain poorly defined.

The fischerazoles, unusual cyanobacterial chlorinated lipopeptides are reported. During their biosynthesis, a linear fatty acyl‐acyl carrier protein (ACP) precursor is rearranged through the action of the S‐adenosyl‐methionine (SAM)‐dependent methyltransferase FshF, to generate a pendant vinyl group.

Tumor‐derived lactate activates PSCs through MCT1‐mediated Vps34 lactylation and autophagy. These activated PSCs secrete CXCL9/10, upregulating PD‐1 on CD8+ T cells via the CXCR3/STAT3 axis to foster immunosuppression. Disrupting this metabolic crosstalk by targeting MCT1 effectively sensitizes pancreatic cancer to PD‐1 blockade, presenting a promising

CSAKD: Determining Absolute Ligand Affinities From 19F NMR Chemical Shift Anisotropy
Affinity determination is crucial in drug discovery, yet remains difficult for weakly binding fragments. We introduce chemical shift anisotropy KD$K_{\text{D}}$ (CSAKD) by 19F$^{19}{\rm F}$ NMR relaxation experiments, a titration‐free method that requires no isotopic labeling.

The role and research progress of serine metabolism in tumor cells
Serine is crucial for tumor initiation, progression, and adaptive immunity. Metabolic pathways for serine synthesis, acquisition, and utilization in tumors and tumor-associated cells are influenced by various physiological factors and the tumor ...
