본 연구의 목적은 최근 빈번하게 일어나고 있는 청소년의 학교부적응, 자살,학교폭력 등의 문제를 해결하기 위하여 인성교육차원에서 실시하고 있는 미국의 사회정서학습(Social and Emotional Learning, SEL)에 대해 고찰하고, 교육적의의를 탐구하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 사회정서학습의 운영을 관리하고 있는 CASEL 홈페이지의 내용을 활용하였고, 관련 문헌과 선행연구를 검토하였다. 연구 결과를 요약하면, 교실에서 실시하는 SEL은 미국 연방정부의 『학업적, 사회적, 감성적 능력함양을 위한 학습법(ASELA)』에 제정된 것으로 아동.청소년의 사회적.정서적 능력과 관련되는 지식과 태도, 기술을 ...
