Molecular Weight Distribution of Proteins Synthesized in Single, Identified Neurons of Aplysia [PDF]
Parietovisceral ganglia from Aplysia californica were incubated in medium containing leucine-3H. Single, identified nerve cell somas were isolated from the ganglia, and their proteins extracted and separated by electrophoresis on 5% SDS-polyacrylamide ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

A comparison of the distribution of actin and tubulin in the mammalian mitotic spindle as seen by indirect immunofluorescence [PDF]
Rabbit antibodies against actin and tubulin were used in an indirect immunofluorescence study of the structure of the mitotic spindle of PtK1 cells after lysis under conditions that preserve anaphase chromosome movement. During early prophase there is no

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Effects of Repolishing Systems on Surface Characteristics of a 3D-Printed Permanent Material
Background: 3D-printed (3DP) resins for permanent restorations are increasing in availability and gaining popularity. Aesthetic stability is an issue of dental resins that may compromise the long-term success of restorations.

Evaluation of Colour Stability of Conventional versus 3D-printed Crown and Bridge Resins after Surface Treatment and Artificial Tooth Brushing: An In-vitro Study [PDF]
Introduction: Three-Dimensional (3D)-printing is becoming increasingly popular, especially for Interim Fixed Dental Prostheses (IFDPs). However, there is limited evidence regarding the colour stability of 3D-printed IFDPs and the combined ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...
