ROS Self‐Supply Nanoplatform Based on Fenton Catalyst for Chemodynamic and Immunotherapy: Reprogramming Cold Tumor Into Hot Tumor in Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional HA‐conjugated nanoplatform (HA‐PGMC) integrates CuO2, glucose oxidase, and mil‐100 to enable cascade catalytic ROS generation in tumor microenvironments. This self‐supplying ROS strategy induces immunogenic cell death, reprograms “cold” tumors into “hot” ones, and synergizes with PD‐L1 blockade, achieving potent chemodynamic ...

Treg/IL-17 Ratio and Treg Differentiation in Patients with COPD

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is characterized by chronic pulmonary and systematic inflammation. An abnormal adaptive immune response leads to an imbalance between pro- and anti-inflammatory processes. T-helper (Th), T-cytotoxic (Tc) and T-regulatory (Treg) cells may play important roles in immune and inflammatory responses.

Modulation of host immunity by Treg-inducing probiotics

open access: yes, 2019
Intestinal microbiota plays a critical role in the modulation of human health. Dysregulation of the commensal flora is closely linked to functional changes of the immune system and subsequently contributes to development of immune disorders.

Treg cell analysis.

open access: yes, 2013
PBMC were stained for the cell surface markers CD4, CD25, and CD127, followed by intracellular staining for Foxp3. (A) Lymphocytes were firstly gated on CD4 expression. All gated CD4 cells expressed CD3 (data not shown).

Mild hypothermia provides Treg stability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Regulatory T cells (Tregs) play crucial role in maintenance of peripheral tolerance. Recent clinical trials confirmed safety and efficacy of Treg treatment of deleterious immune responses.

Epigenetic Silencing of RFX7 Defines a Transcriptional Axis Linking Lactate Metabolism to Immune Checkpoint Therapy in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) exhibits RFX7 silencing via promoter hypermethylation, which downregulates PIK3IP1 to activate PI3K/AKT signaling, increase lactate accumulation, and enhance histone H4K12 lactylation. This lactylation upregulates PD‐L1/CSF1 expression and drives the immunosuppressive microenvironment formation.

Tregitopes switch on Tregs

open access: yesBlood, 2008
In this issue of Blood, De Groot and colleagues report the identification and functional characterization of Tregitopes, which are Treg-activating regions in the Fc portion of the IgG molecule. This important finding has the potential to bring understanding about a number of phenomena related to Ig, including tolerance to Ab variable regions, the ...

Endogenous Engineering Reprograms Extracellular Vesicles for Enhanced Therapeutic Function

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review explains how Extracellular vesicles‐producing cells can be endogenously engineered to load therapeutic proteins and nucleic acids. We summarize physiological and genetic strategies that harness native sorting pathways for selective cargo loading.
