Detoksikacija živčanih bojnih otrova [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Phosphylation of the pivotal enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE) by nerve agents (NAs) leads to irreversible inhibition of the enzyme and accumulation of neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which induces cholinergic crisis, that is, overstimulation of ...

Antidotski efekat kombinacija obidoksim/HI-6 i memantina kod miševa trovanih somanom, dihlorvosom ili heptenofosom [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Introduction/Aim. In acute organophosphate poisoning the issue of special concern is the appearance of muscle fasciculations and convulsions that cannot be adequately antagonised by the use of atropine and oxime therapy.

“People are afraid of getting injections”:Feasibility of community-placed atropine auto-injectors in treating organophosphate poisoning in Sri Lanka [PDF]

open access: yes
IntroductionOrganophosphorus insecticide poisoning remains a major problem in rural low- and middle-income communities. Atropine auto-injectors are used for organophosphorus nerve agent poisoning, but not organophosphorus insecticide poisoning.

Advances in toxicology and medical treatment of chemical warfare nerve agents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Organophosphorous (OP) Nerve agents (NAs) are known as the deadliest chemical warfare agents. They are divided into two classes of G and V agents. Most of them are liquid at room temperature.

A Comparison of the Reactivating and Therapeutic Efficacy of Two Newly Developed Oximes (K727 and K733) with Oxime K203 and Trimedoxime in Tabun‐Poisoned Rats and Mice [PDF]

open access: yesBasic & Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology, 2014
AbstractThe reactivating and therapeutic efficacy of three original bispyridinium oximes (K727, K733 and K203) and one currently available oxime (trimedoxime) was evaluated in tabun‐poisoned rats and mice. The oxime‐induced reactivation of tabun‐inhibited acetylcholinesterase was measured in diaphragm and brain of tabun‐poisoned rats.

Evaluation of the Potency of Two Novel Bispyridinium Oximes (K456, K458) in Comparison with Oxime K203 and Trimedoxime to Counteract Tabun‐Induced Neurotoxicity in Rats [PDF]

open access: yesBasic & Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology, 2013
AbstractThe ability of two newly developed bispyridinium oximes (K456, K458) to reduce tabun‐induced acute neurotoxic signs and symptoms was compared with oxime K203 and trimedoxime using the functional observational battery. The neuroprotective effects of the oximes studied combined with atropine on rats poisoned with tabun at a sublethal dose (200 μg/

Piridinijevi oksimi: razlozi za njihov odabir kao kauzalnih antidota protiv otrovanja organofosfatima i sadašnja rješenja za autoinjektore [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
During the last five decades, five pyridinium oximes were found to be worthy of use as antidotes against nerve agents in humans: pralidoxime, in a form of chloride or PAM-2 Cl and mesylate or P2S (against sarin, cyclosarin and VX), trimedoxime or TMB-4 ...

A comparison of reactivating and therapeutic efficacy of the oxime K203 and its fluorinated analog (KR-22836) with currently available oximes (obidoxime, trimedoxime, HI-6) against tabun in rats and mice [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Enzyme Inhibition and Medicinal Chemistry, 2010
The potency of newly developed bispyridinium compound K203 and its fluorinated analog KR-22836 in reactivating tabun-inhibited acetylcholinesterase and reducing tabun-induced lethal toxic effects was compared with commonly used oximes (obidoxime, trimedoxime, the oxime HI-6) using in vivo methods.
