Caveolin‐1 enriched apoptotic bodies derived from oral hard palate orchestrate bone remodeling to treat heterotopic ossification

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Downregulated CAV1 in HO is restored via apoptotic bodies from PMSCs, which reprogram bone remodeling by delivering CAV1 to target cells, highlighting the therapeutic role of EV subtypes in heterotopic ossification. Abstract Heterotopic ossification (HO) is a pathological process characterized by ectopic bone formation in non‐osseous tissues, with an ...

miR-149-3p Regulates the Switch between Adipogenic and Osteogenic Differentiation of BMSCs by Targeting FTO

open access: yesMolecular Therapy: Nucleic Acids, 2019
Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) have been suggested to possess the capacity to differentiate into different cell lineages. Maintaining a balanced stem cell differentiation program is crucial to the bone microenvironment and bone ...

Multifunctional polycaprolactone‐based composite fibers with icariin and glutathione for effective repair of critical‐sized bone defects

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
A multifunctional PCL‐based scaffold co‐delivering Icariin and Glutathione synergistically enhances osteogenesis, angiogenesis, and oxidative stress resistance, achieving near‐complete repair of critical‐sized bone defects in vivo. This cell‐free platform represents a promising strategy for accelerated bone regeneration.

Neuroprotective effect of normal and modified mesenchymal stem cell‐derived exosomes by mitigating Alzheimer's‐related oxidative and inflammatory damage via Nrf2/HO‐1 in SH‐SY5Y cells

open access: yesIbrain, EarlyView.
Exosome therapy shows promise in Alzheimer's disease. This study compared normal and modified exosomes from AD brain extract‐treated MSCs in STZ‐induced SH‐SY5Y cells. Exosomes improved neuronal viability, reduced oxidative stress and inflammation, and activated Nrf2/HO‐1 signaling.

Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) Seed Protein and Its Hydrolysate Promote Bone Formation via the SMAD‐Dependent BMP Pathway

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective With the global increase in aging populations, the prevalence of osteoporosis is rising. Current preventive and therapeutic strategies remain limited. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of hemp seed protein (HSP) and its hydrolysis‐derived bioactive peptides (HPH) on osteogenic differentiation and to elucidate their ...

LncRNA SNHG14 Delivered by Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells‐Secreted Exosomes Regulates Osteogenesis and Adipogenesis in Osteoporosis by Mediating the miR‐27a‐3p/LMNB1 Axis

open access: yesKaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences
The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of LncRNA SNHG14 delivered by bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells‐secreted exosomes (BMSC‐Exos) in osteoporosis (OP). BMSCs and BMSCs‐Exos were isolated and identified.
