Solid predominant lung adenocarcinoma exhibits an immune‐excluded, ferroptosis‐resistant niche enriched with IL4I1⁺ TAMs and TDO2⁺ myCAFs. Spatial and multi‐omics analyses reveal AhR‐driven crosstalk that promotes T cell exhaustion and therapy resistance. Blocking AhR with CH‐223191 restores ferroptosis sensitivity, and its combination with ferroptosis

Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin (CPE) can be used to eliminate carcinoma cells that overexpress on their cell surface CPE receptors – a subset of claudins (e.g., Cldn3 and Cldn4).

The importance of claudin-7 palmitoylation on membrane subdomain localization and metastasis-promoting activities [PDF]
Background: Claudin-7 (cld7), a tight junction (TJ) component, is also found basolaterally and in the cytoplasm. Basolaterally located cld7 is enriched in glycolipid-enriched membrane domains (GEM), where it associates with EpCAM (EpC).

A solid‐state fermented probiotic (PYW) is developed using wheat bran as substrate, containing high viable Lacticaseibacillus paracasei and bioactive metabolites. PYW alleviates intestinal inflammation by gut microbiota composition, enriching indole derivatives, activating aryl hydrocarbon receptor signaling, and regulating macrophage polarization. PYW

Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) exerts protein‐dependent neuroprotective effects in an MPTP‐induced Parkinson's disease model. In casein‐fed mice, TRF improves gut barrier integrity and reduces neuroinflammation, possibly via modulation of Allobaculum and BCAAs.

The tight junction protein claudin-1 influences cranial neural crest cell emigration [PDF]
The neural crest is a population of migratory cells that follows specific pathways during development, eventually differentiating to form parts of the face, heart, and peripheral nervous system, the latter of which includes contributions from placodal ...

This study identifies TOPK as a dual‐function target in gastric cancer: it drives tumor cell proliferation and migration, and under IFN‐γ stimulation, phosphorylates eIF4F complex component eIF4A1 to enhance STAT1 mRNA translation, thereby promoting PD‐L1/IDO1‐mediated tumor immunometabolic evasion.

A non-tight junction function of claudin-7—Interaction with integrin signaling in suppressing lung cancer cell proliferation and detachment [PDF]
Background Claudins are a family of tight junction (TJ) membrane proteins involved in a broad spectrum of human diseases including cancer. Claudin-7 is a unique TJ membrane protein in that it has a strong basolateral membrane distribution in epithelial

Endothelial Cell‐Based Vascular Bandages for Blood–Brain Barrier Repair and Targeted siRNA Delivery
mECs restore blood–brain barrier function after cerebral ischemia–reperfusion by simultaneously targeting, supporting, and regulating the damaged vasculature. mECs home to injured cerebral vessels through interactions with highly expressed VLA‐4, reinforce endothelial integrity by forming new junctions, and, upon OGD‐SN treatment, acquire enhanced ...
