Enhancing Febuxostat Solubility Through Cocrystal Formation: Role of Substrate Selection and Amide Coformers. [PDF]
Solubility plays a crucial role in drug bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy. Febuxostat (FEB), a BCS Class II drug used to treat hyperuricemia and gout, has low solubility, limiting its effectiveness.

Predicting and Rationalizing Piezoelectricity in Racemic Bioorganic Molecular Crystals
Racemic molecular crystals, composed of equal mixtures of chiral enantiomeric components, are predicted to exhibit significant piezoelectric responses and favourable mechanical flexibility. This study identifies organic and bioorganic racemates as promising candidates for sustainable, lead‐free materials, enabling next‐generation applications in energy

On the rational topological complexity of coformal elliptic spaces
We establish some upper and lower bounds of the rational topological complexity for certain classes of elliptic spaces. Our techniques permit us in particular to show that the rational topological complexity coincides with the dimension of the rational homotopy for some special families of coformal elliptic spaces.

Oxalic Acid, a Versatile Coformer for Multicomponent Forms with 9-Ethyladenine [PDF]
Six new multicomponent solids of 9-ethyladenine and oxalic acid have been detected and characterized. The salt screening has been performed by mechanochemical and solvent crystallization processes. Single crystals of the anhydrous salts in 1:1 and 2:1 nucleobase:coformer molar ratio were obtained by solution crystallization and elucidated by single ...

Cocrystallization of acetaminophen and glutaric acid with different coformers [PDF]
Recently cocrystallization became a popular tool for crystal engineering that allows, for instance, improving properties of pharmaceutical materials, creating new materials for nonlinear optical applications and solar cell technologies. To attract students to crystallographic studies we carried out project that included crystal growth of two series of ...
