Green and variegated Alternanthera bettzickiana morphotypes were compared after optimizing extraction (Box–Behnken design–RSM: 90% ethanol, 50°C, 2 h, 10 mg/mL). The green morphotype had higher phenolic content, FRAP, and ORAC activity, while the variegated morphotype had higher flavonoid and anthocyanin content.
