Enhanced peripheral blood mononuclear cell lipid metabolism drives poor immunotherapy response via ferroptotic stress‐induced T cell exhaustion in hepatocellular carcinoma

Integrated multi‐omics reveals that CD36‐mediated lipid overload in PBMCs drives T cell exhaustion via sub‐lethal ferroptotic stress and AKT suppression. This systemic metabolic signature serves as a robust predictor of immunotherapy response in HCC, suggesting that modulating lipid metabolism can rescue immune fitness.

Essentiality of SLC7A11-mediated nonessential amino acids in MASLD

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) remains a rapidly growing global health burden. Here, we report that the nonessential amino acid (NEAA) transporter SLC7A11 plays a key role in MASLD. In patients with MASLD, we found high expression levels of SLC7A11 that were correlated directly with clinical grade.
