Roles of Specialized Pro-Resolving Lipid Mediators in Cerebral Ischemia Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology, 2018
Ischemic stroke contributes to ~80% of all stroke cases. Recanalization with thrombolysis or endovascular thrombectomy are currently critical therapeutic strategies for rebuilding the blood supply following ischemic stroke.

Pro-inflammatory and pro-resolving lipid mediators of inflammation in HIV: effect of aspirin interventionResearch in context

open access: yesEBioMedicine, 2023
Summary: Background: Persons with HIV (PWH) have an increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) compared to HIV-seronegative individuals (SN). Inflammation contributes to this risk but the role of lipid mediators, with central roles in inflammation ...

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.

Implementation of Total Body Photography for Skin Cancer Early Detection: A Systematic Review

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
This review maps the use of total body photography (TBP) for skin cancer early detection and prevention. It highlights the evolving TBP technologies used, personnel performing imaging, and potential care models employed. Despite this evolution, workflow processes remain broadly consistent, though variably sequenced across settings. ABSTRACT Advances in

Inflammatory and Immunological Basis of Periodontal Diseases

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
The periodontal lesion emerges as an evolving immunological battlefield, where host–microbiome interactions, dysregulated immune responses, fragile resolution mechanisms, and inflammophilic dysbiosis converge to shift the balance from homeostasis to unrestrained tissue destruction.

Role of specialized pro-resolving lipid mediators in pulmonary inflammation diseases: mechanisms and development

open access: yesRespiratory Research, 2021
Inflammation is an essential mechanism of various diseases. The development and resolution of inflammation are complex immune-modulation processes which induce the involvement of various types of immune cells.

Organizing Buyer‐Side Scope 3 Governance: Sensemaking in Supply Network Decarbonization

open access: yesJournal of Supply Chain Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT For many large manufacturers and consumer brands, most greenhouse gas emissions arise outside their own operations and within supplier networks they do not fully control. However, regulators and investors increasingly expect firms to show credible progress on reducing these emissions.
