Wedelolactone, a Novel TLR2 Agonist, Promotes Neutrophil Differentiation and Ameliorates Neutropenia: A Multi‐Omics Approach to Unravel the Mechanism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Wedelolactone (WED), a natural TLR2 agonist, promotes neutrophil differentiation and enhances bactericidal function, offering a potential therapeutic strategy for neutropenia. Using a multi‐omics approach, this study reveals that WED activates the TLR2/MEK/ERK pathway, upregulating key transcription factors (PU.1, CEBPβ) to drive neutrophil development.

Sufficient Conditions for String Stability

open access: yes
Zhong-Ping Jiang devoted a large part of his work to the study of the stability properties of interconnected systems. In this short paper we celebrate Zhong-Ping Jiang's 60th birthday by studying a special class of families of interconnected systems: the so-called strings. We develop trajectory-based and Lyapunov-based tools that allow the verification

On Stabilization of String-Nonlinear Oscillator Interaction

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1995
The paper deals with an infinite homogeneous string with a particle of mass \(m\geq 0\) attached at the origin. The particle is subjected to a force \(F=F(u)\) which depends, in general nonlinearly, upon the transversal displacement \(u\) of the particle. Solvability of the Cauchy problem for the system is discussed. Convergence, as time \(t\to\infty\),

Targeting Itga8 Mitigates Neurogenic Bladder Fibrosis Driven by Trem2⁺ Macrophage‐Derived Fn1 via FAK/RhoA/ROCK Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Normal bladders exhibit quiescent fibroblasts/macrophages, whereas neurogenic bladders show acute‐phase Itga8⁺ fibroblast expansion driven by Trem2⁺ macrophage‐secreted Fn1, which activates FAK/RhoA/ROCK signaling, promotes cytoskeletal remodeling, and upregulates pro‐fibrotic genes.

String loop vibration around Schwarzschild black hole

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
String loop vibrations in a central plane of a Schwarzschild black hole are investigated for various string equations of state. We discuss string loop stability and derive frequencies of vibrational modes. Using the vibrating string loop model we fit the

Astrocytic PERK Deficiency Drives Prefrontal Circuit Dysfunction and Depressive‐Like Behaviors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chen et al. show that the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress sensor PERK is downregulated in prefrontal cortex (PFC) astrocytes in major depressive disorder and in chronic‐stress mouse models. In young mice, astrocyte‐specific PERK loss reduces the synaptogenic cue thrombospondin‐1 (TSP1), leading to synaptic and circuit deficits and depressive‐like ...

Microglial HVCN1 Deficiency Improves Movement and Survival of SOD1G93A ALS Mice by Enhancing Microglial Migration and Neuroprotection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hydrogen voltage gated channel 1 (HVCN1) is upregulated in microglia of both ALS patients and its mouse model. HVCN1 deficiency enhances microglial migration via suppressing Akt signaling, promotes neurotrophic capacity and motor function, and prolongs survival of the SOD1G93A ALS mice. This study identifies HVCN1 as a novel, promising druggable target

A Self‐Organized Liquid Reaction Container for Cellular Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
How cells restore epigenetic information lost during replication is not known. This work proposes a mechanism based on the formation of biomolecular condensates. These condensates are induced by the chromosome itself and serve as reaction vessels for reconstructing missing epigenetic markers.
