Synthesis and In Vitro Antiproliferative Activity of Novel Androst-5-ene Triazolyl and Tetrazolyl Derivatives

open access: yesMolecules, 2011
A straightforward and reliable method for the regioselective synthesis of steroidal 1,4-disubstituted triazoles and 1,5-disubstituted tetrazoles via copper(I)-catalyzed cycloadditions is reported. Heterocycle moieties were efficiently introduced onto the

Toward Chromoselective Transformations in Biological Systems: Perspectives and Challenges

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Controlling biological systems with small‐molecule chromophores has evolved into a powerful strategy and is applied from chemical biology to medicine. However, the complexity of in vivo systems cannot be matched by a single wavelength of light. Developing methods to combine and individually control multiple chromophores is crucial.

Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance Spectroscopy: Tautomerism and Structure of Functional Azoles

open access: yesCrystals, 2019
The Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance spectroscopy data of functionalized azoles (imidazoles, triazoles and corresponding benzazoles) are reviewed and critically discussed. The possibility of studying the tautomerism of azoles by the NQR method is considered.

Unlocking Catalyst Activation as a Critical Bottleneck in Cross‐Coupling Reactions: Room‐Temperature Couplings of Weak Nucleophiles Enabled by [Pd(1‐MeNAP)TFA]2 Precatalysts

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
In many Pd‐catalyzed cross‐couplings, catalyst performance has been found to be limited by catalyst activation. Methylnaphthyl (MeNAP) palladium trifluoroacetate dimers are presented as easy‐to‐store and easy‐to‐handle precursors, which rapidly activate under reaction conditions, even when only weakly coordinating, non‐reducing nucleophiles are present.

Late‐Stage Functionalization of Peptides on the Solid Phase

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Peptide modifications are essential to control pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic properties of peptide drugs. Consequently, strategies that allow for efficient and rapid incorporation of non‐canonical modifications into peptides in parallel formats are highly sought after.

Anticancer properties of 1,2,4-triazole derivatives (literature review)

open access: yesAktualʹnì Pitannâ Farmacevtičnoï ì Medičnoï Nauki ta Praktiki
Cancer is still one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Statistical data show that more than 130,000 people in Ukraine receive this diagnosis as a sentence every year. Cancer can affect any organ and eventually the whole body. In most cases, cancer

Enantioselective copper-catalyzed azidation/click cascade reaction for access to chiral 1,2,3-triazoles

open access: yesNature Communications
Chiral 1,2,3-triazoles are highly attractive motifs in various fields. However, achieving catalytic asymmetric click reactions of azides and alkynes for chiral triazole synthesis remains a significant challenge, mainly due to the limited catalytic ...

The Click Reaction as an Efficient Tool for the Construction of Macrocyclic Structures

open access: yesMolecules, 2013
The Cu(I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC, known as the click reaction) is an established tool used for the construction of complex molecular architectures.
