A bimetallic Mn–Ca nanoreactor (MCC) is developed as a non‐nucleotide STING nanoagonist for cancer metalloimmunotherapy. MCC induces Ca2+ overload and hydroxyl radical generation, resulting in mitochondrial damage and mtDNA release. The released mtDNA cooperates with Mn2+ to robustly activate cGAS–STING signaling.

A traditional Chinese medicine‐derived carbon dots nanoplatform reprograms tumor cell death from apoptosis to necroptosis, dismantling therapy‐induced collagen barriers and promoting immunogenic death. pH‐responsive hydrogel assembled from carbon dots for localized delivery, this strategy suppresses primary tumors and metastasis, offering a new ...

This work reports the first gram‐scale solvothermal synthesis of ‘Rubik's cube’ nanoparticles—cubic, dendritic multicore structures with tuneable sizes and exceptional magnetic heating performance. Featuring iron oxide single‐domain character, with low coercivity fields, high magnetization, and strong MPI signals, they enable viscosity‐independent ...

A hepatic network of dendritic cells mediates CD4 T cell help outside lymphoid organs
While CD4+ T cells are a prerequisite for CD8+ T cell-mediated protection against intracellular hepatotropic pathogens, the mechanisms facilitating the transfer of CD4-help to intrahepatic CD8+ T cells are unknown.

Plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs) play a pivotal role in immune responses, particularly against viral infections. pDCs exhibit diverse functions, including interferon production, cytokine secretion, and antigen presentation. Here, we investigate the antigen cross-presentation capacity of pDCs and their role in CD8+ T cell activation.

Conventional dendritic cells regulate the outcome of colonic inflammation independently of T cells [PDF]
We explored the physiological role of conventional dendritic cells (cDCs) in acute colitis induced by a single cycle of dextran sodium sulfate administration. Depending on their mode of activation and independently of T cells, cDCs can enhance or attenuate the severity of dextran sodium sulfate-induced colitis. The latter beneficial effect was achieved,

Rejuvenating conventional dendritic cells and T follicular helper cell formation after vaccination
Germinal centres (GCs) are T follicular helper cell (Tfh)-dependent structures that form in response to vaccination, producing long-lived antibody secreting plasma cells and memory B cells that protect against subsequent infection. With advancing age the GC and Tfh cell response declines, resulting in impaired humoral immunity.

A diisopropyl ether (DIPE)‐based, localized, high‐concentration electrolyte is developed to stabilize both electrodes in aqueous zinc batteries. By reducing water activity and promoting anion‐rich zinc‐ion solvation, it builds robust interphases at both the cathode and anode, ensuring uniform deposition, suppressed corrosion, and highly reversible ...
