A chimeric plasmid from cDNA clones of poliovirus and coxsackievirus produces a recombinant virus that is temperature-sensitive. [PDF]
We have inserted a 405-nucleotide fragment from the 5' noncoding region of the coxsackievirus B3 genome into an infectious cDNA copy of the poliovirus RNA genome.

Designing a multi-epitope vaccine against coxsackievirus B based on immunoinformatics approaches
Coxsackievirus B (CVB) is one of the major viral pathogens of human myocarditis and cardiomyopathy without any effective preventive measures; therefore, it is necessary to develop a safe and efficacious vaccine against CVB.

Epidemics of enterovirus infection in Chungnam Korea, 2008 and 2009
Previously, we explored the epidemic pattern and molecular characterization of enteroviruses isolated in Chungnam, Korea from 2005 to 2006. The present study extended these observations to 2008 and 2009.

Coxsackie B – Pantropic Viruses
Coxsackieviruses (CV), as all enteroviruses, are small, non-enveloped, icosahedral-shaped capsid viruses. They belong to the family Picornaviridae. This group was named after the town of Coxsackie in New York State (USA) where was recognized the first ...

Herein, a series of new isatin derivatives was designed and synthesized (1–9) as broad-spectrum antiviral agents. Consequently, the antiviral activities of the synthesized compounds (1–9) were pursued against three viruses, namely influenza virus (H1N1),

Variable susceptibility of mice to group B coxsackievirus infections [PDF]
Laboratory strains of group B coxsackievirus serotypes 1 to 6 were inoculated intraperitoneally into newborn mice of differing genetic backgrouns. Of the four genetic strains investigated, C3H mice appeared to be resistant to all six serotypes, whereas BALB/c mice were most susceptible.

THE ROLE OF THE NEONATAL FC RECEPTOR IN THE UNCOATING OF ECHOVIRUSES AND COXSACKIEVIRUS A9
The aim of this study was to determine the role of the human neonatal receptor for the Fc fragment of IgG (hFcRn) as a common uncoating cellular receptor for echoviruses and coxsackievirus A9 during infection of human rhabdomyosarcoma (RD) cells ...

A series of 1,2,3-triazolyl nucleoside analogues in which 1,2,3-triazol-4-yl-β-d-ribofuranosyl fragments are attached via polymethylene linkers to both nitrogen atoms of the heterocycle moiety (uracil, 6-methyluracil, thymine, quinazoline-2,4-dione ...

Design of 4-Substituted Sulfonamidobenzoic Acid Derivatives Targeting Coxsackievirus B3
A series of novel 4-substituted sulfonamidobenzoic acid derivatives was synthesized as the structural evolution of 4-(4-(1,3-dioxoisoindolin-2-yl)phenylsulfonamido)benzoic acid, which is the known inhibitor of the enterovirus life cycle.

Expression of an Antigenic Adenovirus Epitope in a Group B Coxsackievirus [PDF]
ABSTRACT Group B coxsackieviruses (CVB) cause human myocarditis, while human adenovirus type 2 (Ad2) is implicated as an agent of this disease. The L1 loop of the Ad2 hexon protein has been demonstrated to be antigenic in rabbits.
